  2. It's a foot. ... Seriously, I don't have any idea. Metal Gear Solid?
  3. I have vague memories of playing Pac-Man at 3 or 4 years old.
  4. I've going to learn to drive, get a car, find a job somewhere in the south or midwest and finally move out of my parents' house. I've been saying this since 2008...
  5. If the difficulty makes me want to pull out my hair, chances are that it's retro. I Wanna Be The Guy is retro.
  6. What I'm trying to say is that it is all an act.
  7. Good ... now play it like, a million more times. Awesome game. I played through it once and then got halfway through a second playthrough. That's like 80 hours right there.
  8. Beat for the first time: Tales of Phantasia Tales of Symphonia Legend of Legaia Megaman 1 (Gameboy version) Beat, after having completed the game at least once before in my life: Megaman X2 Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga Luigi's Mansion and probably a bunch of others I'm forgetting and I'll update this later. I play a lot of open ended games, though.
  9. And everything we see on Daytime TV should be taken at 100% face value? =p
  10. I remember that awful Xbox controlled. For a time I had a group of friends and we'd play Halo 2. Nobody wanted to get stuck with that thing.
  11. The best part of being old is how awesome the video games are going to be. Everything will be motion controlled and you'll break your hip.
  12. Rip and tear your guts! RIP AND TEAR!
  13. The Nailgun from Quake The Gauntlet from Quake 3
  14. Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 wasn't that great either. I didn't expect to get it and I got it as a gift one Christmas. It wasn't as good as the two previous ones.
  15. Going blind Driving Not having any money (don't know if there's a word for fear of poverty) Generally, I'm uncomfortable in social situations and avoid them I wouldn't say any of these are debilitating but they are weird fears I have.
  16. Dungeon Siege. I paid only $8 for it but I wasn't even an interesting Diablo clone.
  17. I buy this $20 pair of shoes at Walmart. It passes for dress shoes and it lasts 6-7 months. Best pair of shoes I ever bought. And I got a pair of them for Christmas.
  18. For the most part I play single player. I do play a MUD but 80% I'm there I'm doing things on my own there. I simply do not have the free time or attention span to be competitive at a lot of multiplayer games. I can't put in eight hours a day of practice to get good enough to enjoy them. Even if I could, I'd get bored too quickly. I'm not going to pay a monthly fee for an MMO. The remaining MMOs are either too simplistic or have a fee structure I don't like. Most shooters I play in short bursts. I'll play an FPS for two weeks and then move on to another game. It's hard to be competitive that way. The only other games I ever spent playing any considerable amount of time with online is the RTS. I played Command & Conquer 3, and DotA. I gave up on DotA because of the community.
  19. That was a couple of years ago. I don't know how or if things have changed. I couldn't find a decent full time job for a year after graduating college but I wasn't an engineer.
  20. It must be very regional. Here in New York, I had a friend graduate from Princeton with a degree in aerospace engineering and it took him forever to find work.
  21. You can be unemployed with a Bachelor's degree, or unemployed with a Masters degree with more debt. By the way, welcome aboard.
  22. I have my reservations about it. I'm too frugal to buy one either way, though.
