For serious. Just gimme a small bit of info...a character's game, a new gameplay clip...something.
-
Ah yeah, didn't think of that. Ah well I can always just buy the three-month package I guess. I'd essentially be paying $18 for a beta but whevs.
-
Yeah I didn't buy Uncharted until after I was in the beta for Uncharted 2 because that demo was pretty lame. But it's well worth it. I hate that Fallon got to play...bastard. Looks pretty cool, though. The environmental melee attacks are cool, they only did that for stealth kills in Among Thieves. Nathan has lost weight, pretty noticeably IMO. There was the occasional "you've put on weight" or "don't think your stomach can fit in there" joke in Among Thieves, but he didn't really look that heavy until I saw him in this game by comparison. Like Kanji said, dude's lookin a bit like David Boreanaz, haha. I really hope I get into the beta for this game...

Please place that in context...classy context.
-
Yeah, really classy.

Always real horny.

I'm playing on PSN, and while the issues have definitey gotten better, it can still be a bit wonky. For the most part the game keeps my party together and I can get into games and such, but host migration tends to cause it problems.

Yeah Google showed me. BUT YOU WOULD KNOW THAT.
-
Yeah, weird that I had to use a button combo for it though...
-
Fuck you guys. It's not my fault Print Screen button means nothing to Macs!
-
And I get paid for this!

http://i56.tinypic.com/5167hh.png SEE HOW PRODUCTIVE I CAN BE. Edit: Hot damn that's a big pic.

It's more counter-productive to use your entire screen for one thing (especially since most sites don't need an entire widescreen display to see everything properly). I typically have my browser taking up most of the screen, but centered, with other shit like IM windows and folders and such open in the background and slightly off to the either side. In other words, go fuck yourself, you fuck. <3

Yeah but they're not willing to pay much of anything sooooo... @Yarf: Is your boss one of those guys that gets pissed off if you refer to it as a "startup"?

I'm still not even a full-time employee. I'm technically an independent contractor on my second contract with this company. I believe the company has to legally make me a full-time employee after my contract expires in February.

I so need someone who specializes in After Effects. Titling and such on our videos are all templates from Motion that I reverse-engineered to at least look somewhat like I didn't phone it in. But it's really limiting. Yeah I remember you mentioning. I'm guessing you're a full-time employee? Mind if I ask how much you get paid?

I do a bit of everything. I do the programming using XNA so that I may eventually publish to XBLIG. I do 3D modeling in Blender and textures in Photoshop, too. Sound effects come from me recording myself making sounds. Music is just outside my capabilities as I am tone deaf. I think our company needs a sound designer...but my cheapass boss would never go for it.

I studied Media Arts in college (which is the spectrum of media...radio, video production, journalism, graphic design, etc.). I was involved in a few projects while at college (I hosted a radio program for 3 semesters, and worked on the school newspaper for a few semesters before becoming the editor-in-chief). I just made it a goal to get my name around as best as I could. By the time graduation rolled around with no job prospects, my advisor recommended I meet with the CEO of the company I'm at now. When I met with him, it wasn't so much an interview as it was him telling me what I'd be doing if I decided to join, so that was...interesting. Ultimately I want to get into film-making, but work experience doesn't hurt (my portfolio is purring right now). And yeah, it would probly be better for you to get involved in project managing if you're not great at the tech side and not interested in marketing. Since I'm at least halfway decent at different things, I get to avoid specializing in any one area, which I probly wouldn't be great at, anyway. What kinda games did you work on?

Makes sure all the cogs are working properly in the production machine...basically gotta make sure everyone involved in production know what's going on, are on task and getting their shit done (during smaller productions, writers have to have their scripts in, hosts have to be ready for practice runs, etc.; during bigger events, I have to have all of the equipment ready for cameramen and let them know what needs to be covered, electricians need to be supervised and told what we need, etc.). Since it's such a small operation, I have my hands in a lot of things (all of pre- and post-production, basically), so my job title doesn't really cover all I do. Overworked and underfucked.
-
Right now we just webcast the boxing events going on at local casino, but we're supposed to be covering more and more events that are coming here (MMA, concerts, etc.). We were also doing daily sports news shows for a few months but we lost sponsorship because the shows were awful. Crap equipment, no licensed footage, yeah it was p miserable.

Nice...I'm the production coordinator for an internet startup. I work with Final Cut Studio and Adobe Creative Suite, but I can't say I'm specialized for any specific program. Jack of all trades, master of none, etc.

All of them felt phoned-in after SSX3 IMO. Of course, now I guess the big complaints come from the fact that...it's not phoned-in enough? I just really want to see a character list.

I'm enjoying Codblops a lot, I use it as my go-to when I'm not in the mood for something really substantial. Multiplayer is actually balanced this time around, so no real complaints there. But I won't be buying another title in the series...I can tell my interest in the series is waning.
