Dark Souls 2? Goodbye, dearest Armored Core and Tenchu. I'll remember you fondly in the same way I fondly remember SMT games prior to Persona 3.

I loved Strange Journey and Devil Survivor was okay, but I consider them to be kind of outlier since it sure looks like Atlus is more interested in the crowd they pulled in with P3/4.
Me? I'm just sick of games with waifus.

Dark Souls makes them money.
With more money they will be able to expand and make more, better games.
Tenchu and Armored Core have had issues for generations. They are in no way financially viable, they don't have time or money to fix them.
With the new found money and skill bought with the Souls' series they will be in an actual realistic position to rejuvinate those series'.

What's the link between Dark Souls 2 and Atlus here? Other than Atlus localizing Demon's Souls.
