Damn customer asking about the 10-year guarantee on his flooring. Told him the receipt is the proof of purchase, to which he says "I don't know if you'll be around in 10 years though". Buddy, you're 82. Chances are, the manufacturer and/or you won't be around then. =p

He wasn't inquiring as much as being awkward. He has an invoice with all the details and will have a receipt when he's paid for it. It's all covered/guaranteed automatically. Doesn't need to start questioning the longevity of our business. =p

Does he know that every warranty/guarantee is limited to the life of the company? If a company no longer exists, they can't provide the replacement. This is how all warranties work.

Well, yeah, there's that, and the fact that he has a manufacturer's guarantee if it did need replacing. He was just being fussy but I found it funny because of his age.
