  1. Depends. How serious do you want your mecha?
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_58-XYXuJMs Playing through P4 for the first time. Really digging the boss battle theme.
  3. Urg, I've only ever liked 3 Indian movies. Too much... frolicking. There was a cool one about Cricket of all things; one about the Mughal conquest of India, and one that had guys running around with M16s.
  4. Looks like I'm the only guy who voted for 2....
  5. Dynasty Warriors. Although I really only like the Gundam ones.
  6. I posted these on Kotaku before, but here are some interesting game themed treats from when manuals used to be there for more than window decoration: http://imgur.com/a/0DLWv
  7. I recognize the other name. Was that you also?
  8. Yeah I was saying a while back on Kotaku on how I haven't seen GITS yet. I'll get around to it...
  9. My name is pretty self-explanatory, though there is a joke behind it. I made the name back in the Halo 2 days and back then, I was quite bad at it. My friends used to joke that I was "a living target" so I decided to go with it. However, the typing on gamepad isn't fun. I entered the name and we started playing Tower of Power when my friend realized that he was killing "LivingTaget". A roar errupted from the other TV when he said "WHO THE HELL IS LIVING TAGET?!?!?!" to which our team a looked at each other and broke up laughing ourselves. After that whenever I use the screen name "LivingTarget" all my friends from the other night still call me "LivingTaget". .... .... .... Don't you dare try it.
  10. I'm glad you guys like it. I have no confidence in my writing.
  11. I enjoy very few things without giant robots.
  12. Total Eclipse comes out today, so I'm sorta excited for that too.
  13. Urg, I haven't played it but I'm still holding out in hope for Steel Battalion. Not going to read reviews, why ruin my fun (I got it through a friend, so I didn't pay for it anyway).
  14. Sure. "On the eve on this commenting system, I thought I'd do a little something special. No I'm not going to whine about anything here, but as a veteran of this site, I thought I had to do something special for it. As I composed it, it turned into something of an autobiography (of my commenting) so I guess nobody cares, but I'll put it down anyway. I've commenting on this site for 5 years now. I've seen a lot of stuff come and go. The site I used before this one was 1up, before that I can't remember. I came to this site because a family member who works in the industry actually uses this site. It's funny to think about. As a newbie commenter, I quickly got sucked into the community here. Everyone was accepting and nice (well for the internet anyway), and while people disagreed with you, they rarely slandered you. Correct me if my memory is mistaken, but I signed up about 6 or so months after they rolled out the beloved/reviled star system (and believe it or not, a lot of people hated the division even back then). A lot of cool commenter were around back then, and while a lot of the most present commenters were stars, they never really said anything about it (other than a few jokes of course). The highlight of my earliest career was to have an editor (no longer here) friend me. It's funny to think about now, but back then, I was pretty proud of it. A lot of these commenters disappeared into obscurity one day, as I came home and signed in finding myself surrounded by new faces, suddenly feeling like the veteran member of the teams, and the responsibly of welcoming them. If anyone wants to check out the site's history though influential commenters to the community, you can check them on my followers. It's certainly interesting to know who's shoes you might be standing on (Though a lot of users seemed to have disappeared from my earliest commenting days). I don't know if I'm the longest user still commenting, but I can say with both pride and shame that I had the record of being the oldest user without a star. I never was witty, sharp, or funny. That was the major problem with the star system, normal commenters who held the site together were pass over for funny one liners, and that caused a lot of irritation. I remember quite a few quitting because of it. However I never felt like I needed one, and the users here accepted me without it, and really, that's what was greatest about this site. I only ever got a star because resident nice guy gigawings pushed to get me one (thanks bro). I know the post about the new system mentioned that the comments were unfriendly and unforgiving. I don't really know much 'bout the rest of the network, but I got oddly irritated about that line. The argument certainly would have been most persuasive without it. I don't really know when I'll quit. I'm far too weary of moving on, but perhaps my fate is to fade from existence like many commenters of my generation. Perhaps I'll go out with an angry rant and a bang. There have certainly been a few who have chosen that route. A few users tried to create a Kotaku alums/fourm (Deanbv was the main push behind that, sorry about misspelling the name, I can't seem to find him in my friends chart). It never really took off unfortunately. Perhaps tomorrow you simply won't see me. Perhaps next month. Perhaps 5 years from now. But everyone moves on. It's sad, and I've seen a lot of fun people who I'd been hanging out online with just not come back. But there will always be new good commenters. Kotaku has had the lucky streak of adding constructive contributive people. To old users leaving, I'm sorry to see you go; it's been fun and thanks for being here. For new users; welcome. I scrolled back up and I realized that I was rambling worse than Tim so I'll end it here. I'll be here for a little longer, at least as long as I'm welcome..." I didn't correct anything so you're still free to laugh at my abysmal spelling.
