Sorry to hear that... I have a few, from high school. Haven't made many in the last 15 years though. I get along with people just fine, it just takes forever to get to the stage where they're not just an acquaintance. Had some good work buddies, but mostly lost touch after I was laid off... I have thought about clubs as one method though. I never go to bars, but a common sport or activity would be a good way to meet people with something in common, I think.

I have trouble even in college... I tend to stay with the transfers or grad students.

Yep...probably need to see about hanging out with coworkers. The friend I did have was more social than me...so would drag me places.

I'm friendly/social-able. Most would say I'm outgoing. Not insecure or anything like that. Just haven't gotten involved with anything outside of work.
