I know haven't been that active here in a long time but I usually pop in once in a while. That being said, I signed up because I really enjoyed it last year. Also, I hope steam does something like the coal thing again to go along with sale. -
It's a very beautiful game. It gave me the same urge to stop and look at the scenery just a Alice: Madness Returns did. I'm really loving the paintbrush mechanics but one gripe I do have is that once you get a new brush technique the game forgets almost entirely about the old ones.

With the recent update to pcsx2, I am finally able to play Okami smoothly. And I am also replaying Persona 3 after having played it on my psp. I never finished the psp version because my psp's screen cracked.

I have a key for the DOTA 2 beta that I am willing to trade anything for it. But, if no one has anything, that's okay because I will give it away either way. I don't ever intend to play this game so it would be a shame to go to waste. EDIT: 'Tis a shame, for it has now been redeemed.

Okay, big problem. I purchased gta4 collection through D2D. I logged into Gamefly and I can't find anywhere to find my games. Does anybody know how to retrieve the game

As Dean says yeah you're probably SOL. However since you probably have the keys in an email just try getting the downloads from somewhere and relink the keys onto GFWL and it's legit. Unfortunately they borked the whole transfer.

lol, yeah, I would never have gotten anywhere near as far in that game as I did without being able to save during battle. I employ the "trial and error, then reverse time" approach to combat.

I don't recall if I saved during battles. All I know is that it would be really helpful when you face Doom Bitch.

WHAT. I could have done that!? HUARGH. Well actually, I didn't really have the need, I was always able to rescue downed Squad members. I only lost Freesia (nooo!) once, but I reloaded a save before going into battle.

Valkyria Chronicles. If you ignore the cheesy-ass story, this is a pretty solid game. To anybody else who has also has played this game. Would you recommend the DLC?

Mirror's Edge. I felt it was too short and it could have delved a little deeper into the characterization of Faith & Pals. Mirror's Edge felt a lot like a concept game akin to the first Portal. If there is ever a ME2 then I hope it greatly expands on its characters and the world they live in(story-wise). Also, it is a shame about the DLC unavailability for the Steam version.

Everyone hated that one. Just restart the mission and position your team in advance.

Yeah, it gets much easier once you know exactly what you need to do, where you need to do it and when. I actually shelved the game for almost 2 years because of that damn mission. Really glad I eventually picked it up again, though.

What platform are you playing on? I played it on my 360 (before I became a PS3 gamer), and I don't remember any problems. Course... I think I just played through the main storyline, then quit.

I know this a bit unorthodox but I was hoping to trade my Rome: Total War and Alien vs. Predators(2010) for a copy Assassin's Creed 2. My reason for this is with my recent purchase of FO3, I am content with enough games. I want to gift Assassin's Creed 2 to brother to get him started on his steam account Edit: Never mind on above, brother received game from friend. But, they are still up for trade including 50% off GTA: Vice City and 33% off idsuperpack.

I crafted all my coal so all I have is 5 coupons: 50% and 33% off Valve games, 50% of Section 8: Prejudice, 25% off any 2K game, and 50% of any CyanWorlds game. Only coupons for me. Haven't won a single game.

I would have to agree with you on that.I have been playing that game on and off for a while and it just can't catch my interest. Just beat Alice: Madness Returns and while the platforming is nothing to write home about, it is still a very beautiful game.

Although not GOTY material, I feel as though Alice:Madness Returns deserves an honorable mention.

Doesn't that sort of thing merit a honorable mention? We should praise those games that dare to be different and succeed in some ways even if they don't in every way they try. It's a lot better than just another game trying to appeal the the masses.

A lot of games that aren't GOTY material deserve recognition for doing something right, even if it's only one aspect. I didn't like Sideway: New York one bit, for example, but I'd mention it for the good use of visuals.

The game was on track to having a nice, healthy player base and shelf life. I don't know what happened but somewhere along the line Uber just stopped caring and moved onto the F2P sequel, turning off everyone else in the process.
There were still several basic features that were inexplicably missing that were never fixed in the first. Stuff like Steam invites and making your own matches without creating a server. They just left the game in a half-assed state, which IMO didn...
