    So what does it mean when you DS3 will power on your PS3 but needs to be plugged in for a second before it will sync and control it afterwards?

      It only turns on your PS3 if 1) It's already synced 2) It's plugged in.

      well yea, but after the console comes on the lights are all flashing and it won't control the system. Then I plugged it in for a second and unplug it and it works fine. Weird.
