TMNT was my childhood as well. I think I had maybe a handful of TF toys, don't remember much about the cartoon.

But TMNT, I lived and breathed. I saw the original (1990) 7 times in theaters. No joke. 3 in one day, even. My allowance for chores was tmnt toys. we couldn't afford much, but I managed a pretty decent collection back then.

As a BIG fan of TMNT, I can say that the turtle designs look stupid and I don't much care for anything else. Plus, it will probably be like the Transformers films where 'Featuring' should really be at the start of the title.
