Only a couple of games come to mind for me, FFVII: just the soundtrack alone brings the memories flooding back. Quest for Glory series: Not sure why but I've played these games dozens of times and never get tired of them.

Truth be told, I play in matches like Demolition and Headquarters but I spend most of my time trying to get kills. I don't camp but you find far fewer campers in those modes so they're much more enjoyable to me. My global K/D ratio is 1.58 and that's a thing of pride for me.

It's a much tighter race than I would have thought. I don't know what Mike Scoscia puts in the water but it seems like it works...

The other reason why a K/D is imporatant in objective based games is if you're not killing people who are defending bomb sites or killing people who are protecting flags then it's much much harder to take the objective. It's not an end all stat for sure but one of the better metrics. My pet peeve is if someone goes 20-40 in TDM. Nobody cares about your 20 kills if you cost the team 40. You're either a boon to a team or a detriment.

Yes, generally you say that it's not required, much like the 360 didn't require a hard drive but it really helps if you have one.

Bitter people are bitter. Really though, if you want to learn about a subject or political policy or whatever go read some oped articles from both sides and make up your own mind because there's no such thing as objective journalism.

We all get upset over videogame coverage in the media but I think the problem is just the media in general. You've got a bunch of uniformed people asking other uniformed people for opinions. I've never seen an interview about a violent videogame by someone who's actually played the game. The point is just that this isn't limited to videogames. Just watch any story and apply the same filter and you'll begin to realize that mostly local journalists know very very little about anything. I suppose that could be true but is Madden running dedicated servers? Am I paying for them to maintain rosters? If that's the case why can't we download fan rosters for free?

Spoken like a true EA exec.... but seriously, I agree really. Boycotts generally don't work because there is usually not a large enough group of people to make a difference. I'm not buying Battlefield 3 because I'm still not happy with Origin but I doubt that anyone at EA will take notice. I can hope that others will do the same but I'm not holding my breath..

In response to MasterDex's point about public companies responsibilities to stockholders: it seems nobody has any clue whether or not DRM is helpful or harmful as there doesn't appear to be any meaningful data to point to and I suppose it's easier to say to your shareholders "at least we're doing something!" Also, for some reason it didn't even bother me until just now that you guys mentioned it that you're paying for XBL gold and still being charged an online pass. That seems pretty nuts to me. Am I paying for my online when I buy the game new or am I paying for it when I buy my XBL subscription? Double dipping again it seems.

I just hate seeing commercialization destroy the heart and soul of a game. I suppose that was bound to happen once bungie handed it off to MS.
