PC hardware is indeed more expensive, but I'm baller and can afford the higher prices for quality products and a better gaming experience. I don't get the hatred of Windows; pretty much all OSes are equally shit, just different flavors.

Yeah, like FDS said Linux is not anything like user friendly, and between OSX and Windows it's just whichever you're used to.
