I've done it in the past but it's fairly mild, I only wander around the house. I'm just worried I'll end up taking a tumble and really hurt myself.

I used to do that occasionally as a kid. It was mostly harmless stuff, like sitting down with the cat and petting her for a few minutes, or standing around somewhere random in the house. It has great potential for danger though, so my mother took me to the doctor. I have no idea what type of medication I was on for some months after that, but the sleepwalking eventually stopped.

I'd definitely recommend you get a professional opinion, provided you have coverage.

Well if you're not living by yourself and there's people you trust. You could always tell someone to keep a watch perhaps. Stairs are dangerous, so long as there's nothing in the way that'll trip you it's most likely you'll be okay.
