  1. Got the Desktop back up and running!

  2. I got Injustice 2 Legendary Edition for a little under $10. Got the first when it was free, so figure I should get the sequel. This along with Mortal Kombat are games I've wanted to play, but never get around to it. Now I've got the Injustice series should I find the time.
  3. Yeah, the gist of it is that Ranni would rather an Order be removed from the land and exist far away so that it's very nature would be uncertain to the people. How it's translated makes it sound like nihilism. That there wouldn't be emotion and everything would be in doubt.
  4. I've seen so many videos of it just melt bosses. Definitely gotta invest in Mind.
  5. I absolutely love it as well as the wife. We both get sucked into the Pokedex tasks/goals sometimes, and I tend to be more battle focused. The game got rid of EVs and IVs and simply has Effort Levels. They can make a difference, but it's not like there is PvP in this game. The only human interaction is with trading and maybe recovering someone's satchel in one of the zones. It's not completely open world, but each zone is massive. The Hisui region forms are hit-and-miss, but for the most part I still enjoy them. This is certainly where Pokemon needs to be headed. Veteran players may get upset about the removal of certain mechanics, but I don't see why they can't return in a true mainline game. The only downsides to me is the lackluster story (though it does have some neat twists) and the graphical quality. I'm not so hellbent on graphics, but certain areas of these maps didn't get a lot of attention. I would say on average the game is a solid 7/10, but there are moments where it bumps up to 8/10 for me.
  6. It has been nearly four years, but I don't quite remember having a problem with the combat. Might require digging back through post history, but I was able to Platinum the game. The thing I remember is the ravens and commenting that backtracking through certain environments was a pain. Some areas are designed with a thematic sense rather than easily traversing an open world. Like when you're running through the foggy forest and come across a farm house. There's a raven there, but if you didn't get it the first time, you essentially reenact that whole moment.
  7. I also got It Takes Two for $20, though on PS4. Plan on doing co-op with the wife.
  8. Heard the shells were going to be $55. If I had a PS5, I would be getting the red shell and purple controller.
  9. Yep, after Ultimate's final update, it's like WB said, "It's showtime, fellas!"
  10. Agreed on Trevor. Loki is definitely worth watching and I can't really say more without spoiling anything. Falcon and the Winter Solider was... massively meh. It sparked a lot of debate, but the show itself didn't get good until crap hit the fan. In my opinion of course, but I couldn't care for the antagonists and the conflict Sam goes through might as well be nonexistent since, going from Endgame, nothing changed really.
  11. Would y'all recommend doing chapter select before proceeding with the collectibles run? Like for Drax's specific move and Charged Shot trophy? I actually saw a video that explained elemental stuns count too, so there's an easy spot late game you can get the trophy.
  12. Last night I finished Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Let me preface this that I love the MCU's Guardians of the Galaxy films with the first one still being my favorite of the MCU. With that said, these Guardians certainly took inspiration, but remain comic faithful in other aspects and are, undoubtedly, all the better for it. As y'all have discerned, Marvel's Avengers felt like Diet MCU; as if we got imposters to fulfill the roles that the movies built up. With Guardians, these are my favorite interpretation of the group. They're a rowdy, hilarious, and chaotic bunch that will save the galaxy even if they're the only ones to do it. They've got their hang-ups and there's friction between members, but the whole time it's engaging. I would only put down the controller out of needing to go to sleep for the next day. The story takes you on these varied missions and environments that you're never quite certain if the end is near or what the group can possibly do next. Really, I could gush about so much in this game. Even the ending is a wild ride and can have minor differences depending on how you made your choices. The only downsides are the sometimes buggy nature of the game and the combat. There aren't any major bugs to worry about, but I've had some that required me to load the last checkpoint. Thankfully there are many autosave checkpoints, so you'll never be that far behind. The combat can be dynamic, but half the time I felt I wasn't doing a lot of damage as Star-Lord where the bulk of damage and stagger effects had to come from my teammates. But then they're on a cooldown and so I go back to whittling health as Star-Lord. The hardest trophy to get in the game is finishing off staggered enemies with a Charged Shot 15 times. Your Charged Shot is both finicky to use and does pitiful damage that you'll easily forget about it. Even when you're actively seeking out the trophy, the situations where you can stagger and then do just enough damage with the Charged Shot are rare. (Not to mention your teammates might finish them off too.) Still, that's a mole hill of a gripe and this is truly a fun single player game. Takes me back to the mid-2000s when we had tons of fun superhero action games. It is linear, but like Dan said, that's perfectly find and sometimes you can go off the beaten trail to find a secret and get yourself a cool new skin for the team. 8.5/10
  13. So it appears I got two codes for GotG pre-order bonus. Anyone with the game want to the extra? Since you redeem it on Square Enix's website, it can be for Xbox or PlayStation.

I never ended up getting my pre-order code I wouldn't mind an extra.

Sent you a DM with the code.

    3. Mister Jack
  14. The Komi Can't Communicate is fantastic. I know people got upset that the whole conversation on the chalkboard wasn't translated, but really all you need to know is that Komi and Tadano have a real conversation as people rather than him fawning over her as a goddess.
  15. The first Suicide Squad is one of the few movies I actually hate. Not just dislike or simply think is awful, but hate.
