  1. I wonder what it was like localizing this game in Japan. "HELL YEAH, LET'S KILL SOME ANCESTORS!"
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7jSig5_N3o
  3. It's been 1-5 degrees Fahrenheit for the past two weeks, and dipping into the minus teens at night. Thankfully the snow has been melting so it's easier to get out of doors.
  4. I Wanna Be The Guy. Go play it. Go beat it. Do it. Seriously.
  5. It would be stupider if he fought a dinosaur with an army of mushrooms and turtles. Also, Gex. Started on the Playstation, jumped to Nintendo, where Nintendo tried to push it so hard as been a successful platforming character.
  6. Ratio 1 fighter versus Shin Rugal or Shin Akuma, it's like blowing bubbles against a tank. So many continues spent on unlocking those two characters, and even when you use them as a ratio 4 fighter, they take damage like they were a ratio 2 fighter. Ah, so many days spent in the arcade, until I got my PS2 copy, trolling other challengers with Geese and Yamazaki's counters. I also really enjoyed the Groove system, to let you match a fighting style / Super bar to your needs. I usually rolled with the Capcom styles (C, A, and P) though I really didn't get into P until I play SF: 3rd Strike. The SNK styles took a bit longer for me to get into, except for the S charging style, especially when your HP got low and you could spam tier one supers. In terms of de-throning CvSNK2 in terms of best fighting game ever, I think it will have it's initial success, with wild claims of it being the king, but will eventually fall below MvC2 in terms of quality. (I might be a bit biased because I think fighting games should always be sprites.)
  7. These for my NES games The original cases for Genesis games, and so many CD jewel cases and CD-binders full of so many CDs and DVDs.
  8. It has the precision of Russian Police saving hostages!
  9. The difference is, Disney dug up new extras, interviews, and shit each time in an effort to make the product more valuable. Nintendo didn't. This times one thousand. In the case of Disney, you are getting a higher quality version of the film, in most cases, along with added bonuses, deleted scenes, etc. In this case, you are getting a port, that even still uses the graphic of an SNES controller rather than a Wii controller. The only real seller is the soundtrack and the "larger" player manual. Also, using a coupon to lower a price is nice and all, but some people do not have these coupons, or already have paid full-retail price. I will agree that spending $20 on this would not be so bad, but again, not everyone did/does pay that amount.
  10. To cover my WoW basis, the achievement "What a Long Strange Trip It's Been" essentially requires you to be subscribed for an entire year and play the game during holidays during the year. Play World of Warcraft for an entire year... and then try to stop...ugh, there should really be an achievement for staying unsubscribed for a year.
  11. For the Pokemon Trading Card game on Gameboy, and somewhat in general of all the Pokemon games, is the fact you cannot attain a 100% collection rate without two copies of the game and two gameboys (and don't say "What about friends that have the game?" because THEY DON'T EXIST) For the Trading Card game, you had to use the IR thing on the Gameboy, and use the "Bump" trade/swap thing, or whatever it was called, and you got a random card, and this was the only way to attain some of the cards.
  12. It wouldn't be so bad if the prices were varied, like 200 point games and stuff, but with all the games being 500+ points, it's just so insane when I can just hook my laptop to the TV and use an emulator to play the game. I was also disappointed when Nintendo forced Team Meat to cancel Super Meat Boy from being released on WiiWare due to the size of the game. Apparently Nintendo has a strict 50MB limit on games on WiiWare. Going back to cash-ins, Dragon Age 2 already has announced DLC at launch, even when the game isn't even out yet. Why, Bioware, WHY.
  13. I don't mean to hate on Nintendo, they do make some amazing games, but seriously, they need to get past this idea of rehashing stuff. I bought a Wii hoping Virtual Console prices could ween me away from Roms, but sadly that was not the case. I even bought a first generation DS, then when they announced a better version, I sold that off and swore not to buy a DS until they finish releasing the damn thing.
  14. Nintendo NOT rehashing the same stuff over and over to pry a few more coins from the dedicated gamers pockets? Where have you been for the past decade? Nintendo seems to pride itself on releasing something, then releasing a superior product six months down the road. In a few years, there will be the Mario Brothers 30th anniversary edition with the "left out" Super Mario World.
  15. So in trying to 100% everything: Forest: Not too bad, a fun challenge to get used to everything, especially Dark World, and the first glitch world is rage inducing to prepare you for many of the later levels, though in replaying to get all the bandages and A+, one of the levels paused and showed Meat Boy dressed as Reptile from Mortal Kombat, with a message saying "Look to la luna" which I know is an MK reference, needless to say, much freakout afterwards. Hospital: Challenge ramps up, still fun, many deaths in Dark World. Salt Factory: Dark World is rough, the boss battle was even more rough with some of the precision jumps. Hell: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- everything, especially unlocking Flywrench. Rapture: OH GOD MY THUMBS, OH GOD THE HOVER-LIGHT THINGS, OH GOD THE KID'S LEVEL The End: Very fitting, very rage inducing. Cotton Alley: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU I still have ridiculous amounts of fun playing this, unlocking the extra characters, and farming for the Glitch zones to appear, then trying my damn best to clear them. Dark Hell and Cotton Alley are my current challenges to complete before moving on to Dark Rapture and Dark "The End". How goes it for everyone else?
  16. Final Fantasy in general Mario 2 World of Warcraft
