Real life advice needed: I've never bought a bed/mattress/anything before. I can only really afford a spring + a mattress right now. Is Ikea a good cheap option?

Over here it's stuff like "twin, full, queen, king." Pretty standard. I actually can't recall seeing another system.

Our main bed sizes are single (3'), double (4'6") and king(5'), so all bed frames and bedding are in imperial, but IKEA uses metric so nothing quite matches. Of course in USA, IKEA may have aligned their sizes to USAs and just not bothered in UK as our sizing differs to continental Europe so we get stuck with the EU sizing.

Funny how now all of the ads on this page are for mattresses. I had never heard of a latex bed before, so I guess advertising that way does work. :/
