    Question about New Vegas: I can't use the fan patches with the Steam version, but I can use mods, correct? Considering going straight and getting it on the Steam sale.

      Isn't NV a steamworks game? Doesn't that make the steam version the only version? Would be weird if fan patches didn't work with it.

       

      I imagine it should be fine as long as you set the game to not update and never verify the file integrity to prevent steam from redownloading the original files. Should probably do some googling or check the steam forums to be sure, though.

      Yeah New Vegas is Steam regardless. The only other version is a cracked n pirated one.
