It was interesting in the sense that you actually had to vary the difficulty as you played through the game. Certain pins would only drop from enemies on certain difficulty settings, so you almost couldn't play the whole game on a static difficulty.

It wasn't the difficulty, it was the general concept of battle by the end of it. It was the most ridiculous multi-tasking I've ever had to do in a game and I just didn't have the attention span for it or anything.

Well, it certainly took a bit of getting used to. I really struggled with the system at first, but managed to finally get a good enough feel for it over time to get through the game and its optional content.
