Well after Ubuntu showed its new ugly "Unity" face I've decided the next time I upgrade my PC I'll be switching back to Debian

Actually I'm running Mint at home now. I prefer Gnome over KDE, though.

Can't you just log in with classic mode?

It still seems to run slower and I'm sure Avant Window Navigator won't play nice with it.
