Oh, you won't believe how much better Super Meat Boy plays with a controller. I mean, it's obvious that it's going to be easier. But after playing it mostly with a keyboard, when I finally gave it a shot with my gamepad I was shocked by how much it improved the precision of my jumps and timing. What controller did you use for Super Meat Boy? I'm thinking of either getting a receiver for my wireless Xbox contoller or a wired controller so I can use that on my PC. My Nyko Core PS3 Controller is alright but I feel I could do better. The problem is for a PC controller there just isn't a good D-Pad to be found.

Right now I'm working on a few different games Skyward Sword (when I can use the Wii) Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (not bad but not superb) Gundemonium Collection (on my PC) Jamestown (replaying it on my Mac)

Crescent Pale Mist looks pretty rad and I just added Satazius to my Steam wishlist. Suguri looks interesting but we'll see. So I guess I'm set in case of being snowed in this winter ...

No more than normal parents. I mean, I didn't grow up in a Shaker household or anything. As for the games in question, I bought the collection more for being decent looking Cute-em-ups. Gundemonium reminds me a lot of the Parodious series, so far.

I always thought it odd that people pronounced and read Xmas as Ex-Muss. It's still pronounced Christmas with X being the old Greek for Chi (an abbreviation for Christ) That's why you see the symbol ☧(Chi Rho) in many churches. It's simply another way of writing Christ. Kind of makes the controversy around Xmas a little silly.

Okay question for those of you who game on the PC with a gamepad. Is there any way to remap the buttons on one? Turns out my Nyko PS3 controller defaults to some high button that some PC games don't want to recognize. Any ideas?

I don't think it's the same thing, one is legitimately free and the other is not.
I'm not one to get up in arms about piracy, but it's not the moral equivalent of using a legitimately free alternative.

Yeah, Gundemonium Collection is $5 on Steam. That's a bit cheaper than the PSN version. Any reason I shouldn't buy three Cute'em-ups?

I'm interested, but I need to get my act together and finish Recettear! Still, Chantelise screenshots really remind me of Ragnarok Online or RO2, so I may grab it anyway. I love a good dungeon crawl.

Chantelise doesn't quite have the charm of Recettear, but it's more playable. I never finished Recettear.

I dunno, as a kid I always got the impression of how scary alcohol was by that scene. Of course I was raised in a pretty anti-alcohol household. I do know the into scene to that Disney was taking a swipe at some animators who were organizing a union or something.
