  1. I just cut two chickens in half. How was your evening?

      I'm half fire-breathing chicken.

I'm going to be having some chicken fillets tonight. Maybe.

I can't wait to turn these chicken halves into Cornell Chicken. :D

  2. I limited myself to $50 at the Criterion Sale so this was all I ended up getting besides the ones above: I could've bought SO many more, though.
  3. I need to play that. I have the collection for the PSP. I need to pick that up. So many good games on the Wii I want right now ...
  4. So I beat Jamestown today and it was a great game. However, now I have a taste for some more shmups. So what are your favorites? Any gen, any platform, any vintage. My favorites are: Space Invaders Galaga The Space Invaders Extreme series Ikaruga (the first game to teach me about how maddening Bullet Hell can be) Raiden Fighters (dropped WAY too many quarters in the arcade in Wilton NY playing this one. Now I have the 360 version.) So what's your list? Also do you have any recs for good inexpensive (yes I want Radiant Silvergun for my Saturn but don't want to pay for it )
  5. It's been a short list for me this year but add Jamestown to that list. I really liked this game and I played most of it with an SNES controller. I decided after learning lots of new swear words at the end to use a controller with an analog stick (I used the Nyko Core PS3 controller) and it was like playing a much easier game. Either that or I was more "in the zone" this morning than I was last night. Great game and I recommend it.
  6. If Jamestown was on SNES, I'd use Game Genie

Indeed. That second level is nasty.

  7. That sounds ... odd. I do like musicals but WotW? Anyway, this is my favorite version
  8. Just tried ModNation Racers on the PSP. It's ... average. :-/

Did you try it on the PS3? If so, is it better?

PSP vs PS3 major difference is load times. While PS3 load times have improved the PSP version still loads a lot faster. However there's a sort of thriving community on the PS3 at least when I last checked sometime in Jan-Feb.

I haven't checked out the PS3 version nor have I checked for community stuff since my PSP is permanently offline due to a lack of WPA2 support.) I am getting the knack of it but the editor is kind of boring to me so I'll probably just play the stock tracks. I'm glad it was free,

  9. I didn't quite get why they used the Brenda Lee version of "Fly Me To the Moon." Don't get me wrong, Brenda Lee was great but it felt out of place as a song choice.
  10. I needed Green Ink so ... also, this was $3 and I'm on a quest to own all things Keaton:
  11. Jeez and I thought Albany ways bad. FUN FACT: Many Hollywood films such as SALT are starting to be filmed in Albany because they can tell people it's NYC when it's not.
  12. Dropping $1,400 in one day is a huge pill to swallow but it's a once in a lifetime trip so ...

Kenshi, I'm not sure of the hotel name. Supposedly a decent 3 star deal. Nothing too extravagant.

Congrats :). Figured from the $1400 spend it must've been that. Fall weather is a tad unpredictable. Rain is common but London doesn't have heavy rain often. It's just drizzles and something between that and rain. Honestly it's only an inconvenience. It does stay overcast often though.

  14. Yeah I read that and I know, Dev-Kits are expensive. I wish it ran under WINE because I don't boot into Windows all that much. That may change when I rebuild my PC.
  15. It's well worth the ~$6 I spent on it. It's not a game I'd recommend spending $20 on but it's well worth $6. I know PC people will hate me for saying this, but it would be right at home as WiiWare or on the PSN/XBL.
  16. Ah Barnes and Noble Criterion Sale. I knew there was a reason I was a B&N Member ... So far I have bought: Despite it not being a BLU, there doesn't appear to be a better version in the works or anything. Oh well. I'm not a big Chaplin fan (in my opinion he's the most overrated actor and director of all time) but I couldn't pass this up.
  17. Criterion sale at B&N. Goodbye Wallet!

  18. It's beauty-full! I got four: one for each of my groomsmen and one for me. I decided the last one I got was too chinsy. It's a nice daily user but quite frankly, I think my guys deserve something classier.
  19. What a great day off! First swimming in the pool, then playing some Kirby and now watching Top Hat (Fred Astaire / Ginger Rogers film) Hot dogs on the grill in about an hour.

You should try shredding bacon and incorporating it into the burger patty. You can also try putting a bit of cheese in the middle of the patty, so you get a bacony, cheese infused burger of the gods!

  20. I'm thinking of softmodding my Wii to play UK imports. The lack of NPC Pikmin 2 in the west is disturbing ...
