I had a dream the other night my future father-in-law called me up, yelled at me and hung up on me.

Since you mentioned that glasses and contacts are expensive (they are!) I'll just share the love on cheapness: www.39dollarglasses.com and if you go to: http://www.retailmenot.com/view/39dollarglasses.com there is a $20 off coupon (fatwallet20) I am in no way affiliated with either party (outside of being a customer) but they are great and super affordable. I purchased a pair of bifocals for my mom (who has severe eye issues and no health insurance at all) for like $50 during a sale once. Also, glasses are sexy. My fiancee has glasses very similar to yours except they are red. She looks hot either way but I prefer them on during the day.

Bouch, you never fail to make me laugh.

There's always this route: Me, I'm as clean as the wind-driven snow. Besides, a tattoo just wouldn't go with my body acne.

At least you guys aren't eating like this:

We wouldn't eat a bit of pizza either; we'd eat a slice or just "some pizza."

It's a shame that we don't have any of those in New York. I would like to try them if I'm ever down in Dixie. At least in NY we have Cornell style chicken. For lunch today I had leftover chicken from this place. SO DELICIOUS!!! www.giffysbarbq.com

First image is a drill bit... You'd say a 'bit of' something, but it's informal. No distinction there. The only time I hear Americans say bit when not referring to the equine or drill versions is in relation to "bits and pieces." One singular part is never referred to as "that bit there;" it's always "that piece/part there" Or when referring to the worst piece of candy this side of Mary Janes:

This was quite interesting for different British accents. It also brings up a good point that we should make a point to speak correctly with the largest vocabulary possible.

In America we stays parts or pieces In UK they say bits To me, this is a bit: or this: or these are bits: THESE are pieces:

I buy very few DVDs and BLUs these days. MST3K is one of the very few shows that I still keep up with. Netflix is good for most things, though.

If we ran out of oil today we'd have enough coal in the world to last us something like 100 years. I forget the exact timeline, though. Notice how its Climate Change and not global warming because *gasp* the earth hasn't been getting warmer since the 90s. Antarctic ice Besides, I work for an energy company and while we put that global warming nonsense on our papers and pamphlets to get people to feel guilty about using other energy, we all know that it's a load of hooey phooey but when you're in a state regulated industry you have to do what the ignorant politicians tell you to do. That said, my objections to the premise, I'd rather not be beholden to people who don't like America very much. So I see in the future a greater dependence on Natural Gas (not LP which is petroleum based) and we're going to have to go more nuclear with our power. Wind and solar are fine in limited uses but honestly, the turbines and solar cells are incredibly expensive and energy intensive to create. Kind of OT but I think it's a shame that Europe has great Diesel burning cars that don't make it to the US. Come on Ford! Port your 65mpg Diesels here in the States! I don't want a worthless hybrid with its super expensive batteries!

Canada is America's hat.

The other night the lady and I watched the original Clash of the Titans. It had better acting, better actors, better spfx and more nude boobage, All 'round a far superior film to the CGI crapfest that came out last year.

Everything in Germanic languages (English excluded) sounds angry. A Hungarian coworker of mine has acknowledged this. Meh, you can't beat the David Seville original. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lksIoWfndgk As for me, since it is Sunday after all, I was playing this:

It's more related to the fall in the value of currency as America and most of Europe has gone bankrupt. As the recent find in Israel shows, we're fine as far as supply. Al Gore can take his Happy Feet and other global warming fairy tales and stick them where the sun doesn't shine. Also, nuclear power. We need more nuclear power.

So my fiancee and I picked up: A rug a coffee table You know you're getting old when this stuff excites you. We also got a set of 50 year old Revere Ware sauce pans and I bought a handle to repair one. $12 for a complete set of high quality sauce pans is not bad at all!

I think we should make Obama the president of Mars and find a way to get him there ASAP! Spare no expense. ;-)

There's a blowjob joke in there somewhere but I'm not sure I want to go there ...

I picked up dinner at a local restaurant and it is reheating. My fiancee and I will be spending a quiet evening alone. Tomorrow is fun, though; we're going shopping for a new carpet.

Was Tiny Toons a bad game or something? The Genesis one was great. I fraking LOVE the NES! I didn't get it until the mid 90s (thank you $5 tag sale find) but I have a lot of games for the NES. Some favorites of mine are: Mario 1,2 &3 (duh) Zelda (again, Duh) Low-G-Man Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest (it gets the least respect but it's my favorite) Thunder and Lightning (This is probably the game my family played the most together) Ducktales! Hells yeah!!!! Godzilla (yeah the game was crappy but as a Godzilla fan in my teens so it was fun to play) Excitebike Dr. Mario: The only game my brother can beat me at.

Did you donate or sell your hair? My ex-gf had nice thick hair down to her butt and she decided to cut it off and sold it to a wig maker on CL for like $500!
