  1. Senua's Saga: Hellblade II Where to begin? This game is worse than the first one in every way except graphics and presentation, which are the best I've ever seen outside of the Matrix Awakens demo. The story feels extremely rushed, it messes up the psychosis stuff, large portions of it are just very boring. Even combat is less fun that the original. The worst part is that it undercuts the messaging of the original game, though I can't really go into specifics because spoilers. If you have Game Pass I'd recommend checking it out just because it is extremely technically impressive, but it is not a good game. Grade: D
  2. Homeworld 3 This game was great. The story was a little silly and I felt like got away from the tone of the previous Homeworld games, but the missions themselves and the gameplay is pure classic Homeworld, but with improvements. The missions have actual "terrain" (usually ancient megastructures) that actually matters, which gives it some more depth as far as positioning and navigation, without losing the 3D combat. It's not massively game changing, but it's a great addition, and even allows for ambushes and stuff. Overall if you like Homeworld you'll like this, but it's probably not changed enough appeal to anyone who didn't already like it. Grade: A
  3. and, related I'm tired of being so CPU limited (currently have a 12600k) and even though in Homeworld specifically I will still be CPU limited, it'll be significantly less, and also this is the fastest CPU I can get without a mobo upgrade (the 15 series ones are expected later this year, but they'll be on a different socket). Sadly the CPU won't get here till Monday so I'm gonna have to make myself play something else while I wait.
  4. For me it's not even the male-gaziness of it so much as the fact that the characters look like they're from a different game than the world is. Like somebody dropped anime characters into a moderately realistic game without any changes to the characters. I've heard it's a lot of fun though.
  5. This is next on my list once I finish P3R, which I'm finally getting close to.
  6. Yeah, I'd be pissed if I had Prime specifically for the videos but that's just a side benefit so whatever.
  7. The big things are that the world is much expanded upon, it's a lot less linear, and you have more interaction with your party.
  8. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth This game is so good, even though it does have a few bits of filler that I think could have been cut out, and one particular dungeon that I hate with a burning passion, but overall I was super happy with it, and I can't wait for the next one. Grade: A+
  9. I haven't tried the Pixel ones, I have a pair of Anker ones that I like. You can also get USB-C to headphone jack adapters for like $5 if you want to stick with your current ones.
  10. I've had the 1, 3 XL, and 6 Pro (current one), and loved them all.
  11. Yeah, Genesis is the one I played. Specifically I got stuck at the part at the end where you're riding on the ostriches. Also, I just preordered HFW and Ghost of Tsushima on Steam as well.
  12. I don't think I ever got past the Lion King level where the monkeys throw you around, which is either the second or third level.
  13. Digital Foundry refers to that Nvidia leak as "Jensen's Prophecy" after Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.
  14. I want to play this but I have completely forgotten how to play Elden Ring and will need to start over, which is daunting to say the least...
  15. StarCraft Remastered is one of those games where you look at it and think "yep, this looks just like how I remember it" Then you click over to the original graphics and
  16. I haven't watched it but Nate on the Rock Paper Shotgun Electronic Wireless Show said he and his wife actually like the American version better than the UK one, despite being British themselves.
  17. P4G and P5R require no explanation. Gotham Knights was $10 and I wanted to try it out.
  18. Gonna dive right into this as soon as I wrap up FF7 Remake Intergrade, probably tomorrow.
  19. The Analogue Pocket is such a cool piece of tech. I really want one even though I know realistically I'd use it for an hour going "this is so cool!" and then never touch it again.
  20. That was honestly way more comprehensible than I was expecting. I'm hyped af.
  21. I'm playing FF7R and made the same decision with the ultrawide mod for that game on Steam Deck (using it for 16:10 support instead, but same idea), cause it broke cutscenes and stuff in a way that was distracting.
