We have a lot of Zelda topics, about a lot of Zelda games... Both DS games have their own topic, we have a topic for 3D Zelda games and modern Zelda games, even a topic for Zelda continuity.. But we lack a generic, all purpose, everyday Zelda thread. Well that changes now. Use this thread to discuss your favorite Zelda temple, post Link's Awakening music, and talk of the future of Zelda games.

Is anyone excited about this game? I've been trying not to spoil it too much for myself but it seems to have a decent enough amount of new ideas and content to avoid accusations of just being the same game rereleased on a different format. I like that it seems easier to visit other people's villages, including strangers. I'm hoping the download is not too stupidly priced because it's open-ended I think it will benefit from being able to pop in and out while leaving a more completable game in the game slot. I've got to think of a decent name for my village as I was a bit boring last time just using the name of the village where I live.

We didn't have a Smash thread? Well, it seems like only yesterday I was browsing the Smash Bros. website, late at night, waiting for the reveal of a character entering the roster for Brawl. NOW WE CAN DO THAT AGAIN! Discuss, so on, and so on. For example: Wow, there's actually going to be a Smash Bros handheld game! or Donkey Kong might be losing more than his bananas...

"The Black Queen has stolen the Sun, the Moon and the Stars. You play as Aurora, a young princess with a pure heart whose soul is brought to the kingdom of Lemuria. Embark on a quest to recapture the three sources of light, defeat the Black Queen and restore the kingdom of Lemuria." http://childoflight-game.com/ It's a platforming adventure RPG with turn based combat and as you can see looks rather gorgeous. I think you can tell it's made with the same engine as Rayman, but looks different enough stylistically and gameplay-wise. Certainly I will be interested in this game as it moves along and I have to say, any game I see from ubisoft at the moment I'm likely to give the benefit of the doubt to. They seem to be on a roll at the moment.

GAME OF THE GENERATION The generation is almost over. We've played Bioshock, we've played Mass Effect 2, and we've played Grand Theft Auto V. This generation has seen a wild ride, full of downloadable games, online multiplayer, and meaningless achievements. Most importantly, there's been a ton of great games. Now we must decide which game is the best. Here are the rules: -You can nominate 3 games -Due to handheld generations not always lining up with console generations, let's leave this just home consoles -PS3, 360, and Wii games only! -Make sure they're individual games, not collections, it could be a game from a collection, but not the collection itself -Dean will work his computer voodoo magic, stuff no mortal could understand and do brackets from the games that get the most nominations. Not sure how many games will reach the brackets, I guess that'll depend on how many different titles get nominated -You have some arbitrary amount of time to nominate your games, so don't procrastinate!
