They're afraid to go where the comics go, which is a shame. Maybe the problems with Darabont's departure impacted the show somewhat. EDIT: Don't go to the Waking Dead cast page on amctv.com because there's a spoiler from the next episode. I forgot the girl's name and the row above her had a "spoiler." EDIT2: However, I will post the T-Dog description because I find it hilariously generic: "T-Dog has proven himself a capable member of the group, offering humanity and kindess." Really? He didn't seem to do much last season, and whatever he did wasn't quite "humane" given that was Dale's job. My favorite scene was Reveal hidden contents When those SWAT zombies came out and everyone (myself included) was "Uh... How are we..." Then they realize the masks work against the zombies, so a tilt of the head and DEAD! How about that gas mask feela though? His face just peeled right off! CorgiShinobi Posted October 22, 2012 Report Share Posted October 22, 2012 No spoilers just yet, but similar to the last episode, I'm baffled by why the gang doesn't kill all the walkers outside of a fence. There's a scene where they want to bring in a dead walker, so they kill one and distract about five other walkers while going outside the fence to retrieve one dead walker. They have melee weapons, and I'm pretty sure rebars and similar metal shafts are not so fragile they break in 50 uses. Otherwise, I think it's a restraint of this being a television show, but they could at least alluded to the idea that they'll take care of any new walkers. If this was old Rick, I worry he would have wanted to negotiate first and then begrudgingly killed the guy. I did think it was rather idiotic to chase after the other guy in an unknown part of the prison since you figure that guy would have gotten himself killed. I feel bad for the remaining two guys... like, I still wouldn't trust them. Just, they started out five and went down to two in a few hours. Also, they totally played up that whole idea Hershel zombified and was going to eat Lori. I'm pretty sure no one leans forward and bear hugs the other person when they revive. If I was at my old apartment where the DirecTV box had component output, I would have so recorded this myself, but at least someone else got it out there. My friend took a pic with him but I was too drunk to care, so I took a pic of him with a random chick. He was cool enough to take pics with his fans but you could tell he wasn't into it at all haha must've been annoying. I'll post the pic tomorrow. Reveal hidden contents Michonne was very suspicious and constantly "Where are weapons?!" Sure, I know that she's technically right, but for an episode that's introducing the setting and characters of Woodbury, it would have worked better if Michonne was casually suspicious rather than demanding to leave every scene. Something where we're able to take in more of the community other than having a brick wall of a character. Then again, it's building on her character and her eventual reveal of past events. Just, it made the twist feel less of a shock when you have a character going on in their doubt. EDIT: About Norman Reedus (Daryl), the guy is constantly being stopped to take pictures with someone. He's one of the show's favorite characters and I've seen many photos of him with fans. Ever since Season 3 started, I've only seen a few fan pics with Chandler Riggs (Carl) and one group photo with Irone Singleton (T-Dog). Even then, on that T-Dog photo that was on Reddit, the submitter had to tell his friend Irone was famous for the photo. I mean, who gives a shit about a baby? Babies are the worst characters in just about every show they're in. I feel like they might have been a little too eager to get rid of Lori before she could make herself truly likable again. I will say, however, that this episode went a step further in making Carl a better character. We'll see if it sticks. And T-Dog, we hardly knew ye, but the man went down like a champ. If he had to die, at least he didn't die for nothing. Of course, then they immediately bring in a new black guy, which seemed a little fucked up. Even I was uncomfortable, but when your mother is preggers in a prison filled with zombies, I guess you can tolerate some things that are just straight out taboo. Babies suck. They drag the rest of the entire cast down because everything has to revolve around the god damn baby, just like in real life. I don't even care about other people's REAL babies. I'm not about to start caring about a fake tv baby, especially when it's probably going to end up getting someone killed. Babies don't know that they're supposed to shut the hell up when zombies are about. And yeah, that was some pretty hammy acting from Rick at the end there. I was watching it with a friend and he said he was tempted to laugh. Comic spoiler below Reveal hidden contents The baby dies in the comic and this is gonna sound kinda fucked up but it's a good thing it did because Rick and Co. get into some real crazy storylines that probably wouldn't have been possible if he was lugging an infant around with him all the time. I'm not saying it's gonna play out exactly the same, I just highly doubt we'll still be having a baby around by the time season 5 or 6 rolls around. Then they are going to leave Lori's body, and Carl says they can't because she'll turn. She moves to get her gun out and Carl stops her. How on earth is Maggie a bitch for this situation at all? Andrew Lincoln, emotes quite awkwardly at first. To me it almost came off like he had a mocking tone, but then when into sobbing. EDIT: This is about acting, not plot/character. And watch Lori's birth again. Lori eventually gets Maggie to go with cutting her open, but Carl didn't stop Maggie. He says, "No, I can't... She's my mother." Maggie handed Carl the gun because she couldn't finish it. But hey, I'm just being weird here. Maybe others can weigh in on this, but after watching the episode twice, that's how it looked. EDIT2: Oh, and not to you Chewie, but people have been coming up with a weird theory. Reveal hidden contents I don't think some fans understand that Lori is D-E-A-D, DEAD! You don't survive being flat out cut open and bleeding out. She would not, at all, be able to walk away and survive somehow until some episode later. And Carol is alive.
