Kovach_
Heh, Cyber and i were talking about this an hour ago, can't wait for it. http://www.joystiq.com/2011/04/01/the-third-pillar-of-ssx-deadly-descents-survive-it/ Here's the new (or the first one i guess) dev commentary. TheFlyingGerbil
Who's excited? I've loved every SSX game I've played, and I'm sure I'll love this too. It sounds like they've really improved the gameplay. The survival mode is a strong addition and I think toning down the tricks is a sensible move. My only concern is the art style. I know it is shallow but I enjoyed the bright colours of the earlier games and think it is sad that they felt they have had to take this move to have the game taken seriously. I know it will make me enjoy the game slighty less.
Kovach_
Yeah, i thought the colours were a bit... dull. Then again, there's still more to see, i'm hoping they'll brighten it up a bit.
TheFlyingGerbil
I actually love the style of the concept art. If they'd made it cel-shaded like SSX:okami I would be completely stoked. Edited April 8, 2011 by TheFlyingGerbil

Mercurial
Meh looks too gritty. What made SSX so great was how silly it was.
Pirandello
Silly plus the music.
Faiblesse Des Sens
Meh looks too gritty. What made SSX so great was how silly it was. I loved 3 the most and it was barely silly at all
Mercurial
I liked tricky the most.
Johnny
Sure, the style was a big part of it, but gameplay first, really. I just hope this is less of an atrocity than SSX Blur
TheFlyingGerbil
If you ignored the fact that the uber moves were hit and miss with the motion controls, I enjoyed Blur. Still loving Jerk it Out by the Caesars.

Mr W Phallus
I dug Tricky out the other day, and although I remembered it being good it was even better than I was expecting. Not sure how I feel about the more realistic vibe, hopefully with squirrel suits etc it will still be over the top. Will there still be uber tricks? I've only ever played tricky so I don't even know what they were like in SSX 3.
Johnny
Uber Tricks were in 3 and On Tour, but they were nowhere near as hard to pull off.
