Divinity II Dragon Knight Saga

So I have been tempted the past few days on actually picking this up, and decided today that I would bite the bullet and do it.

Check out the link:

Dragon Knight Saga is actually a re-mastering of the original, it includes Eco Draconis and the Expansion, with a remastered graphics engine and bug fixes to make the game much better than the original (which was by all accounts pretty bad).

The original had some neat elements, such as the ability to transform into a dragon, read minds, and construct an NPC companion out of body parts via necromancy.

Saw the link on amazon for the special edition set which comes with a 54 page artbook and a soundtrack CD, and for the price of $40 I caved in. Also, the fact that Atlus stood behind the production adds some gravitas to the game.

I hope I'm not dissapointed. I have been wanting a good romp in fantasy RPG land and avoided Dragon Age 2 and Two Worlds 2. Eco Draconis always seemed interesting, but the ammount of bugs, glitches, and shoddy mechanics seemed to turn me off. The fact that a developer believes so much in a product that they go back and fix most of the mistakes, remaster the game and engine, throw in an expansion and other goodies and last but not least sells it for an unbelievable price shows dedication, much more than most developers would put into their productions as of late.

Just be sure it's the DKS and not the original. I had the misfortune of playing the original and it was horrible.

I heard DKS overhauls a lot of things and makes the overall game a lot better to play, but I've not the time nor the interest to do it considering my previous experience with the game.
