iLjaG
For the new guys, this is where we discuss Naruto and Bleach every week (and really, any other weekly series you wish to discuss). There will be lots of spoilers. Feel free to join in though. Shonen Jump is released every Wednesday and English translations are thrown up at mangastream.com. See you all in 2 days! EDIT: Really? Someone edited "fuckin'" out of the title? Please kill yourself.
D-K
I am upset that Japan has seen the Fuckin' Naruto movie in july, and I have to wait till somewhere in 2011. It's embarassing enough for a grown man to like ninjas but having me check narutoget daily just to be dissapointed is a special kind of embarrasment. Sindo
This reminds me to finish Bleach so I can read weekly with you all.
Mister Jack
Bleach, One Piece, and Naruto all seem to have hit a lull recently. I don't eagerly wait for the scans the way I used to. Maybe it's just me.
CorgiShinobi
Sometimes I forget to check on the manga uploads. Bleach has become dull to me, and One Piece is... well, I've never been big on it. Truly, Naruto is keeping my attention because of the zombie ninja. In fact, we should be getting a Kakashi x Zabuza rematch soon!
iLjaG
Aaaaaaaaaaand the Kakashi/Zabuza rematch commences. Now we have to wait 'til after Christmas to see what happens. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuu- EDIT: Oh and Bleach still sucks.
Sindo
Yeah who didn't see that coming in Bleach.
TheForgetfulBrain
I'm gonna go 'a-lalalalala' past the other posts and ask a question. Do you guys follow the animes, or only the mangas? I was very into the animes for both for a few years, about six years ago. Unfortunately, after about episode 100 of each, Studio Pierrot apparently stopped giving a shit about the quality of the animation unless it was a pivotal episode and jammed in painful amounts of filler, so I stopped. Catching up now would take ungodly amounts of time. But damn, I do miss them sometimes. The new FMA is over now and I haven't had a good shounen series in a long, long time. How are the series these days?
Mister Jack
I tend to just watch episodes with pivotal fights in them now and skip over the talky talky blah blah bullshit eps.
Sindo
I don't follow the anime because of the filler.
CorgiShinobi
I haven't watched the anime for either in a long time. I really hope Kabuto doesn't gain too much power. I like how he's dicking around with Madara, but the Orichimaru tactics should be dead. All the cheap bullcrap of, "He's dead! Oh wait, he turned into little snakes, or shed his skin, or regurgitated a new body, or now he's a giant albino snake w/ hair!" Bleach: Main character, 'nuff said. iLjaG
Tite Kubo really is a master troll: “It’s about halfway through the story at the moment. [...] At the very least, I’ll be doing it for another 10 years.” 10 more years of Bleach? lolwut.
Bouchart
Ten more years? And there's a story?
Sindo
What kind of shit will he make up now? I have no idea where he could go with the story.

CorgiShinobi
Did anyone else think there would be new chapters on the 25th? I just checked out Manga Stream and there they were... Anyway, Kakashi & Co. are screwed out of their minds, what with the entire Seven Swordsmen being resurrected and all. Bleach, well, I kinda want to slam my head against a wall. I can slightly understand where the concept of "everything has a soul" comes from in which warriors' and their weapons have a bond. However, to say everything has a soul? Like, hey, that chair has a soul! Your TV has a soul! I wonder if the toilet has a soul too! It could be a poor idealization that everything can exist in an astral plane, but that's as far as I think you can stretch it.
Sindo
The Shinobi (Is that what they're being called now?) will be fine. I have a feeling Killer Bee and Naruto will be at the front of the fight soon enough. There's no way they are staying on that island the whole time. And yes, Bleach is just turning into :facedesk: at this point.
Toshi
Does anyone read beyond the major 3 of jump (Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece)? Or am I the only one reading Beelzebub, KHR, and Bakuman?
BrainHurtBoy...2
Bakuman is the only manga which I can stand these days.
SeniorPuffyPants
Does anyone read beyond the major 3 of jump (Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece)? Or am I the only one reading Beelzebub, KHR, and Bakuman? The only thing i read these days is Bakuman. I'm more into the slice of life kind of mangas now a days. Can
Beelzebub, Claymore, Kekkaishi apart from the big three. Bleach was fine taking a break from the Fagtastic Sir Aizen, as it reminded me a lot of the early Bleach chapters (the best in the series in my opinion), but it seriously needs to pick up pace now. Naruto is interesting, because I thinking Kishimoto is rushing through the arc. Haven't you guys noticed that in some of the recent chapters the drawings are closer to... sketches? It's happened before, during the Invasion of Pain arc, and wasn't done on purpose as the volume versions were cleaned up. I just hope the quality of the series doesn't decline with his rush. I haven't read One Piece since the Skypeia (or sumting like that) arc. That was a long time ago. Edited January 5, 2011 by Can
Toshi
Bakuman is the only slice of life manga I actually read and enjoy, possibly because the death note write writes it. I think.
Sindo
I'll get to those sometime. I'm still making my rounds.
