I know I'm late to the party, but comparing Steam to a console isn't exactly fair when discussing always-on policies. Steam's primary method of game distribution is digital; it's not so presumptuous to demand that people log into the internet periodically, especially when they're on a PC, which is pretty much a brick that you plug into a wall if you don't connect it to anything online. If you're using Steam, you're declaring that you've got regular access to the internet from your gaming device. None of that is (or has been) a given with a console, nor is there any *reason* to require people to be logged in to play on one, aside from the one that MS might have been ready to invent as an excuse for the policy. It would needlessly shut out or at least turn off lots of people. I know it's moot now, as it seems like the internet managed to tell them what they should have known already, but just wanted to chime in on that.

This is a suit presentation. So far it's been an overall Meh. And I was willing to be excited by this. I mean seriously i was hoping for something outside of Halo TV show and a Remedy game. 8 new ips. It could be anything from atrocious crap to excellent stuff. If they're not confident enough to show more than one ip that says a lot. You don't need to show all 8. Just 2 or 3 would be enough.

Good lord, that was underwhelming.  I can't believe I'm saying this but the most interesting thing at that event was Call of Duty.  They'd better bring it a lot harder at E3 than they did today because they're on the verge of losing me entirely.

Also they said "always ready and connected."  It's official now.

I'd say that was about on-par with the PS4 intro. Not very excited about either box. Probably won'y buy either for a few years, unless some must-have game is exclusive to one or the other and the price is less than $400.

I'm in the same boat. Probably because I purchased a gaming computer 6 months ago, and most of the PC ports are now equally as good or better than their console equivalents.

The new controller has me a bit excited, it looks good, and hopefully it works with the PC, otherwise there might be a problem down the line.
