Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

Dunno if any of you have ever heard of, or even taken, this test before.

It's a basic personality test. It filters in to 4 elements of two types each. So there's 16 variances all in all.

Personally I'm INTP which is an "Architect"

There's two tests. One will take about 5-10 minutes and one takes about 2 minutes (it has 4 questions :P)

http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp - longer

http://www.personalitypathways.com/type_inventory.html - short

The second one is substantially less accurate, you'll be able to tell when you see how it works out the "answer" :P

So yeah, maybe have a crack at it, read the article given in the longer test if you want to know more about it, or check Wikipeidia.

As with all tests like this, reading up on the various types kind of ruins it, cos you'll maybe attempt to aim to fulfil what you think you're meant to get than what the test would naturally put you out as.

I've taken this test about three times before for various reasons, so I know I'm an INFP. I've changed a bit since taking it last, though, and that influenced the results by just barely pushing it into an ISFP (89/1/38/22) result instead. Some questions are very vague or depend on other factors, so guess I'm I(N/S)FP.

I've taken this before, but that was back in high school.

Obviously, things have changed! B)

ENFJ

1/12/75/67

I've only become slightly extroverted thanks to college. I would probably still put myself as an introvert, but when there's a lady worthy of your time, one tends to open up and become a social animal.

:bun-totes:

EDIT: I was reading up on the personality types (since I didn't read my description, or whatever) and supposedly INFJ is the rarest type.

You and me Ethan, we're a special breed. :tophat:

EDIT2: Oh, and if anyone thinks I changed my type simply to be rare, well, ENFJ is also a rare type. :P

ENFP

Extraverted Intuitive Feeling perceiving

E- 11/I- 62/F- 25/P- 11

- Slightly expressed extravert

- Distinctively expressed intuitive personality

- Moderately expressed feeling personality

- Slightly expressed perceiving personality

'Idealist- Champion' type apparently. All sounds very like me though I think I'm more feeling than that suggests. And less perceiving.

Apparently only 3-4% of the population get this, so that's nice.

EDIT: A lot of the stuff on the Wikipedia page, about problems of misunderstandings with others and what they arise from- are issues I've had IRL frequently. This is weird.

ISTJ: 78, 1, 12, 44

- very expressed introvert

- slightly expressed sensing personality

- slightly expressed thinking personality

- moderately expressed judging personality

Those make it sound a bit weird, but the Wikipedia description makes it sound good. Inspector. :sherlock:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inspector_(role_variant)

And it all sounds very British.

Second one is:

Introversion

Sensing

Feeling

Judging

Which sounds eerily accurate too: http://www.personalitypathways.com/dom-si.html

I thought about this a little after signing off last night, and I would say that this did paint a good picture of myself. The low introverted/extroverted swap combined with NFJ verifies my desire to only rise to second-in-command. I rather not be a leader, but at the same time I have the qualities of a strong and understanding person who could benefit others if I were to take charge.

Usually, at work, this is the case. I like to think, what with my experience at work, that I'm the unofficial second-in-command. If the supervisor isn't around, I take up responsibility to get things up and going. Of course, recently I've been too lax about efficiency, but that's because I don't care for my job anymore.
