I do remember scoring an INFJ type back in high school, but I'm sure the numbers were drastically different. Anyway, I think the reason why Myers-Briggs is highly regarded and used in schools and other facilities is that it can help define someone through generic scenarios. Not everyone is sure of who they are or what they're interested in. Where they would fit, or perhaps how they interact outside their own perspective. Of course I wouldn't say it goes that far into detail, but it's a good starting point for the individual to test the theory placed upon themselves. I'm not going to compare myself with Abraham Lincoln and Barack Obama, supposedly ENFJ types, but this could tell me I have leadership qualities I'm not taking advantage of for myself and others. I certainly didn't sit there for half an hour pondering each answer, I just went with what sounded most like me on the first reading. Same as I do with those "Which [noun] are you?" tests in celeb magazines and such. I'm certainly not about to start looking at my never ending quest for power in a new light having done this test any more than I'd head to the make-up counter of Boots if my "Which comic book villain are you?" test came back with the answer "The Joker". R__ Posted May 13, 2011 Report Share Posted May 13, 2011 Apparently I'm an INTJ. When I did this as a teenager I was INFP. How life changes people. Now that I'm an asshole with no sympathy for people, it changes my Myers-Briggs result. INTJ is listed as being good at Computer Programming and being an Information Systems Specialist.
