I love this game. It's currently in beta and you can pre-purchase to gain access. The price is at 17 pounds, 19 euros or 26 usd and if you pre-purchase you get an extra copy (and beta key).

In case anyone else here plays it, I'm Janxer in-game. Hit me up for a match sometime.

You don't need to embed. Just get the YouTube link and use the Insert Media button on the far right of the reply toolbar.

EDIT: By the way, second video was an awesome match. I like how your dude at the end just ran past the red guy and then turned around. Boom.

Well I'll be pumping out a review soon (woot it runs on netbooks) It has an introversion vibe (if I didn't know better I'd of guessed it was one of their games). It plays like chess in a way. I'm not too good at the thinking of chess, just know the rules. Certainly an interesting take on the turn based strategy game.

I'll be more in-depth later. I'd say if you're into that kind of game it'd be worth it at current price (on the basis it's 2 copies for the price of one) but I'd wait for a price drop if you're not sure. btw with the code they also said the free copy deal is only on for a shortwhile longer. Originally was only a pre-order deal anyway.

oh I'm deanbmmv if anyone wants to add me.

Yeah, interestingly enough (or not, whatever), it seems that $10 USD is emerging as a common price point for indie PC titles. I think that's generally fair for the content you get with games like these. My Capsized review will be up in the morning, but for now I'll just say it's worth every penny of its $10 price tag.

I love this game but here is the one real gripe I have towards it: some of the maps.

Now, the maps are procedurally generated and most of the time there is no clear advantage to either side... And then you run into something like the start of the above video.

It's a guessing game. If the opponent guesses wrong two times in a row, my rifleman may survive. If he guesses right either of the first two rounds I have no chance. His shotgun dude spawns right next to my rifleman and runs faster.

It's basically a 3v2 match. Edited by Johnny

Bought the game, haven't created an online account yet.

Been playing the singleplayer. So many buttons, and I'm still in the process of getting the hang of how the whole system works.

I did have a good run in campaign with my 4 shotgun commandos against the enemy's 5 riflemen. Small corridors and rooms give my boomsticks the advantage against their rifles. Even pulled an awesome victory with a feign-flank by making it appear like one of my guys was attacking (which they responded to), then duped them and stormed in through the back door guns blazing. Fun stuff.
