Hot Heart
In case anyone hasn't seen them. Ciaran Hinds as Mance Rayder? Nice. http://www.themarysue.com/game-of-thrones-season-three-character-pics/
Faiblesse Des Sens
Oh nice, I haven't seen a good collection of how all of the characters will look. Definitely excited to see a lot of these characters finally making appearances. Edited January 26, 2013 by Faiblesse Des Sens
Waldorf and Statler
I think the perfect casting were definitely Mance and Jojen Reed.

Chewblaha
"The North Remembers" being used this early in the show is a fucking abomination.

Mister Jack
Recently did a marathon of seasons 1 and 2. I've been missing out.
Waldorf and Statler
I saw the School of Thrones and I'm glad the whole thing wasn't just them using famous scenes/catchphrases and making them school related.

Mal
After watching recaps while cleaning and then having the new episode for dinner I'm so happy that me and my roommates got HBO. So what do you guys think? Only thing so far for me is... No Arstan.

Mal
Book Spoiler Barristan, the former Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, went to Dany under the name of Arstan. I can see why they didn't include it in the show since we can see and know.
Faiblesse Des Sens
...but they did include it in the show.
Mal
Sort of. Barristan is there but Arstan isn't. He went under the name of Arstan to observe Dany to see if she was sane (Unlike the Mad King). Now in the show he doesn't do that.I wonder how the siege of Mereen will exactly work. Before the siege is when Barristan and Jorah revealed/get exposed and then got sent on a supposedly suicide mission to take the city because Dany was pissed. Stuff has to be cut and that's not important because ultimately Barristan is loyal to her. They can still do something similar without having to do so much build up which is the other issue here. It's easier to introduce him to the audience this way and especially since they include him in the "last time on GoTs" thing in the beginning. Like MaliciousH says, it's one of those things that works in the book but wouldn't work in the TV show. He spends quite a while as a random stranger. Which works in the book because he's just some bearded old squire. In the series we'd take one look at him and go "Oh look it's Barristan." then about three episodes later he would be all "Behold! It is I! Barristan the Bold!" and everyone on screen would be like "Woah!" but we'd all be like "Duh!".
Saturnine Tenshi
Game of Thrones episodes already have so much to juggle that nothing really happens in most.
P4: Gritty Reboot
I thought the first episode was very good. First episodes are usually pretty slow as they simply set things up for later.
Mal
That Cat moment. I don't recall her talking about Jon like that. She tried to love him but just can't.It is also pretty true if Jon was named a Stark, he would of had Winterfell and might have repelled the Iron Men.Also those Theon torture scenes... terrible but I don't recall an escape attempt. This will be interesting.
Mister Jack
This show sure does have a lot of characters to keep track of. I don't think we saw Daenerys at all tonight.
