You are never the only one. No matter how edgy you may feel you are being. (A pet peeve of mine).

I wasn't hugely bothered by Sheeran, it was a bit immersion breaking, but there you go.

Wasn't trying to be edgy, just a turn of phrase. I'm not sure why the guy is getting as much hate as he has been doing. I don't really enjoy his music but he was fine in a small role. The whole thing reeks (aha) of fanboys getting upset because someone that's got mainstream pull has appeared in their favourite little nerd property and last I checked, GoT was the most popular show on TV (at least on this area of the internet).

Finally got to watch it today.

Pretty great start, though I'm gonna probably have to read up to refresh my mind on Hounds past with that hut. (unless anyone here wants to fill me in). It did well to set up all the major players and it was structured well in flowing from one to the other in nice neat little compact stories. I actually hadn't expected much of Sam so was nice to see him have a decent segment (minus the poo and soup montage). Kinda liking the open animosity and "I know what you are, what am I" kind of kinship between Cersei and ...Ewan...err Greyjoy guy. I'll pick up his name once he's in more than two episodes.

And yeah excited to see where Jon and Sansas relationship goes. I doubt it'll lead to blows and blood is thicker n all that, but will be interesting to see where Littlefingers meddling gets him. He's more skilled in the court politics and he's currently amongst soldiers and wildlings which may (hopefully) end badly for him.

As for Ed Sheeran, no beef with him particularly, he didn't do anything wrong. He was just Ed Sheeran and that was bad, just kinda pulled you out a bit like there had been some weird dimensional overlap. I guess part of me was also "Jim Broadbent!" but then you slip back into "a magister!". GoT hasn't really gone much for the stunt casting/cameos and when it has it's done it well (e.g Ian McShanes little episode).

Was that section at all elevated with having Ed Sheeran there for a bit of signing and then just smiling and nodding along? Not at all. He could have easily not been there and it would have been much the same scene, maybe the little ditty would be sung off key but they're soldiers after all.

@deanbmmv If anything I found the McShane cameo more distracting. Sheeren has a (hopefully) small part. With McShane I could never get it out of my head that it was Ian McShane being Ian McShane in Westeros. Granted, I don't think the writers did much to help on that front, but in terms of taking me out of the experience I found the McShane stuff to be much worst. Not least because his character name was Ray and, well.

Give the person who's doing the food bit a raise. Please continue since I'm loving it so much.

It's been ages since I read it, but I'm sure we love them in the books.

They were pretty neutral on the love-hate scale. The whole Dorne plotline is pretty cool though.

I forgot to mention a little detail that I liked: Tyene Sand styles her hair very close to her mother's now.

Also, we could use a new poll, methinks.

Can we talk about the poll? People seem to be fairly sure Littlefinger is going to get killed off pretty soon. Why is this? I understand they're making him into something of wedge between Jon and Sansa but that plot line has a while to get just yet; especially with Jon going south. Tormund however....

Potential spoilers for the rest of the season, although it's built upon something we've already seen in the show.
