Yantelope
Man, I was so embarrassed watching the kinect mess last year. I hope this year is better. I get the feeling Kinect is not going to get as much stage time.
Yantelope
Halo 4 and Halo CE remake both confirmed. WOOT! Thank you MS for not sucking. http://kotaku.com/5808887/ Edited June 6, 2011 by Yantelope

superfrogsavestokyo
Meh, I'm still going to watch to see how they present it. Hopefully they'll have something else up their sleeve.

Hot Heart
A few months back there were rumours about the remake and Saber Interactive were mentioned.
Yantelope
So, I was wrong, the show was a kinect fest. MS doesn't seem to be doing much else other than rail shooters and kinect adventures clones. Ugh. IPTV sounds interesting. I hope they can get some good content on there. P4: Gritty Reboot
Start with smug gay (hehe, I meant guy. Freudian slip.) Then, non-exclusives, followed by Kinect games, followed by Kinect non-games, followed by Halo 4. End with smug guy. Kovach_
I don't think anyone can do worse than that.
Yantelope
I don't know, Sony's botched infamous $599 US Dollars presser was pretty bad.
Mister Jack
What an embarrassment. Not only that, but Sony has the PS Vita to do and Nintendo has a whole new console, which just makes the Microsoft show look even worse.
Hocking
I hated the MS conference last year, hated it this year. I think I have a Kinect allergy.
Yantelope
I hated the MS conference last year, hated it this year. I think I have a Kinect allergy. Me too. I understand that broadening the audience doesn't hurt the core necessarily but I was hoping that other than new games MS would have some sort of new tech or something to offer core gamers. I'm convinced that Kinect will never provide the core gaming market with anything of substance.

If they were able to do something with the silly view distance that Kinect has, it would maybe be more significant, I mean most people don't have the room for it to be usable. Which I think is why it's not getting very significant software developed for it. Edited June 6, 2011 by Hocking
RockyRan
Didn't want a Kinect before this E3, don't want one now. It was only used in core games as an inconsequential gimmick, the casual-based games didn't interest me in the least bit, and the pseudo-core games developed for it (Fable, Star Wars) felt shallow and on-rails. Still no reason to buy one. The hype for Kinect in this year's conference felt completely hollow, because despite MS spending the better part of the conference on it they didn't announce anything with it that was of interest IMO. Bah, oh well. I predicted MS's conference was gonna suck anyway, so with the low-point of E3 out of the way now it's all uphill from here
Hocking
The Gamespot pre-EA stream pretty much sums up how I feel about Kinect; "tacked on" and "shoehorned." Also, more from MS Conference; (was sent to me via XFire) Edited June 6, 2011 by Hocking

deanb
MS was very very weak. There was pretty much nothing in it that was like "oh hey, that looks like we need it". Halo 4 will be weird since it's not Bungie, and for some reason the guys didn't want to talk about the Engine. The only thing that sparked my interest was the light drawing thing. And it was nothing to do with games. But I've always stood by Kinect not being a games controller anyway. Star wars was as shit as last year, Disney thing was oh god they brought in children again. Schafer had some nice jokes, but the game wasn't for me since I'm not a child, nor have I recently killed my other son after buying him a balloon. Voice Controlled ME3? Meh. Youtube n Bing just further reinforce that the 360 is only console without a web browser. PS3 NetFront n Wii Opera may be basic as shit, but at least they're there. Kovach_
Why? I've used the browser on the PS3 many, many times. Sure, it's not meant for prolongued browsing, but whenever i needed to take a quick look at something while i'm on the PS3, it always did its job. Hot Heart
I've just never found it at all adequate. I could fire up my PC quicker than waiting for that thing to load a page.
