excel_excel
If I can get it at €300 for the Premium pack I'll be getting it. Launch line up is fairly decent and even the downloabable launch titles are looking great. No problem waiting to preorder, no doubt there'll be better offers coming out in the weeks up to launch. CorgiShinobi
Well, if I get a better job, then I might have enough around November... Or maybe wait till Christmas...
FredEffinChopin
I plan to watch how their first year plays out. If they're actually walking the walk (as far as catering to the "hardcore" with their library) then there is a good chance of my buying one. It's impossible to say right now. Bayonetta is a great sign. Most of the other signs point to a slightly less underwhelming Wii experience though. I'm more receptive than I had expected I would be at this point. Of course announcements regarding a new Xbox or Playstation could be the end of my consideration. I really want to get a gauge for whether or not one of these consoles is going to be the odd one out.

In the poll I said I'd get one when the price drops, but more accurately I'll get one when it reaches a critical mass of games that I want. There's not really one specific franchise that would sell it to me except Zelda (which won't happen for years) or Pokemon (which won't happen at all) so I didn't select that answer.
P4: Gritty Reboot
then there is a good chance of my buying one You get a "like" for proper use of a possessive pronoun in front of a gerund. Congratulations, use it wisely. Also, I'll buy one at some point. Not necessarily waiting for a price drop, but waiting for the value to be there for me.
FredEffinChopin
I will treasure it forever, thank you. Here, have one for forcing me to shamefully look up the word gerund.
CorgiShinobi
Mega64 on Bayonetta 2 EDIT: Because the media tag didn't work. Edited September 29, 2012 by Atomsk88

TheFlyingGerbil
Gutted Rayman Origins is postponed until next year as I'd pre-ordered it as a launch title for £20. Still, I'll keep in mind Miyamoto's quote: "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad." but that means I'll have to rethink my pre-order again. excel_excel
Yeah Rayman Legends delay sucks. That was probably looking like the best title for launch.
Strangelove
Apparently the new Mario game wont run at 1080p like Nintendo said it would. Its weird considering the game is basically an upscaled NSMBWii.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, pretty sure my phone should be able to run that at 1080p. Kidding... mostly...

Its weird considering the game is basically an upscaled NSMBWii. I can't remember if it was from a game dev or nintendo or what but apparently for most games it's either 720/60fps or 1080/30fps. TheFlyingGerbil
I'm sure I read somewhere non of nintendo's launch window games are 1080p
CorgiShinobi
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is 1080p, but at the same time all I've read is that the 3DS version runs at 60 fps in full 3D. I swear I read that the WiiU version is 60 fps too, but I keep finding 3DS sources.
TheFlyingGerbil
There are a few 1080p games, e.g Black Ops 2, Nano Assault, I meant specifically Nintendo developed specifically, e.g Pikmin, NSMB U.
CorgiShinobi
Nah, just joining in on the 1080p discussion. Does anyone know of a good 2.5 SATA HDD enclosure? I'm looking around because I figure my old 2.5 SATA from my deceased PS3 will be my future WiiU's external HDD. EDIT: Nevermind, I found myself something. excel_excel
There are a few 1080p games, e.g Black Ops 2, Nano Assault, I meant specifically Nintendo developed specifically, e.g Pikmin, NSMB U. Black Ops 2 is most likely just upscaling to 1080p from 720p or even lower depending on its actual rendering resolution. If they've got the actual game at native 1080p on Wii U that would be encouraging.
CorgiShinobi
Official Teardown of Internal Components and Wii Comparison Yeah, yeah, you hate IGN, but at least follow the links to the Iwata Asks presentation. Basically, all the parts we know about shown and in their designated layout along with comparisons to similar Wii features and parts. EDIT: Also, I would buy a transparent WiiU over any color! FMW
I am very excited about the headphone jack built into the controller. The ability to play in a public place without the horrid/embarrassing writing and porn sounding grunting sound effects will be a blessing. Honestly, maybe THAT is the best reason for Bayonetta 2 to be on the Wii U. The nonsensical narrative and "sexy" (creepy) special attacks can now be kept on your controller and in your earbuds. TheMightyEthan
It's a home console, how would you be playing it in a public place?

Faiblesse Des Sens
Perhaps FM-W meant a busy area in the house? Which is understandable for some living situations.
FMW
Living rooms, dorm rooms, TVs shared with house mates... really any circumstance other than having your own private television set hidden away in your own private bedroom. I know that for many that is not a realistic circumstance. I know for me it has never been.
