TheMightyEthan
Yeah, basically all I ever hear about GTAIV is how it's so bad compared to the other games in the series.
Battra92
Mortal Kombat. Seriously this was and still is a crappy fighting game with the gimmick of gore.
Mister Jack
I'm starting to think I am just not very enamored with Demon's Souls.

slatz_grobnik
Red Dead Redemption. Awful gap between narrative and gameplay, just awful. This extends to much of R*'s product line, and to sandbox games in general. Final Fantasy series. I came to try it late, and, as far as I can tell, it's been running off of nostalgia for many episodes. The Longest Journey. It's a movie with irrational point-and-click segments between the reels. Strangelove
devil summoner and digital devil saga. Seriously, smt was supposed to be this great jrpg series and these games were so boring. It took me a while to give persona 3 a try. Thank god that one lived up to the hype. TheForgetfulBrain
I can understand how you didn't like Devil Summoner - that game was pretty damn clunky. DDS I can understand too, but I loooooved those games. I mean, the environments and visuals were bland as hell and the story didn't really start getting interesting till later on, but man, I loved it. Strangelove
I love the art style of both games, but both games environments are empty as hell and the dialogue was very basic and bare. I havent played dds in years, but are your characters supposed to act like robot? Were they cyborgs? Cus they sure acted like it. That game had no heart whatsoever. TheForgetfulBrain
How far did you get, did you finish the first game? I won't mention any spoilers, but I'll just say that they start that way intentionally - and throughout the course of the game, and particularly in the beginning of the second one (which is a direct sequel, and I consider the two games really one game), once the characters do start developing, it gets very interesting. It has a fascinating and unique story, in my opinion. I never actually finished the 2nd game - I got to the last section of the game and my fucking PS3 died, and I lost all my save data. That is the one instance where saving on memory cards would have been preferable. I'm still pissed that I had pay $150 to get the stupid thing fixed, because it was eight days out of warranty, died the day the PS3 Slim was announced, and they didn't even recover my data. That put me on a good, 'Fuck Sony' binge for a while.
peteer01
GTA4 and COD:MW2... I laid out the reasons already here: http://board.pressxordie.com/topic/691-least-favorite-game-of-all-time/page__st__40
TheMightyEthan
GTA IV and MW2 are both pretty controversial, I'm not sure they meet the "everyone else seems to like" criterion.
excel_excel
Um.....the GTA series. We just never really got on. I don't know why, I just don't get on with it. Never finished any of them, got the furthest in San Andreas and got stuck on some race and just got sick of repeating it. Fallout 3. That'll do for now
deanb
GTA IV and MW2 are both pretty controversial, I'm not sure they meet the "everyone else seems to like" criterion. I dunno they are both of the best selling games of 7th gen. I guess just not as well loved around these parts
TheForgetfulBrain
The CoD series is so widely played, sold and whored by Activision, that few people will individually admit to liking it, IMO, except for the original MW. Nah, I've actually grown to like Fallout 3, but again, it was draining my life far too much. Sure I could skip 90% of the game and go with the Main Quest missions, but where's the fun? Harri
I didn't like Counterstrike, a little bit too competitive for me. Bejeweled is okay, but a little bit meh. I don't necessarily like the first fallout, which was a bit too slow for my taste.
RockyRan
GTA IV by far. I can't stand playing it for more than a few minutes, yet it got 10's across the board from reviews. I can usually appreciate games even though I dislike them personally, but GTA IV ain't one of them. There are other games that people like that I can't get into, but I don't necessarily dislike. StarCraft, Deus Ex, and the Civ series comes to mind for those.

peteer01
GTA IV and MW2 are both pretty controversial, I'm not sure they meet the "everyone else seems to like" criterion. I guess that nowadays it's okay to say they aren't amazing...but I was vocalizing that idea back when they came out, and it was like I was trying to tell people the emperor had no clothes. People would direct me to gamerankings or metacritic tell me how it's the Xth best rated game of all time, or the ___ selling game of all time, and it was such a technological step forward from the game maker's previous game in the series I just couldn't realize that it was an improvement because I hate innovation... I'm glad to hear people today suggest that both were pretty controversial...but it sure as hell didn't feel that way when I was vocalizing my dissatisfaction with the games back when they came out. The CoD series is so widely played, sold and whored by Activision, that few people will individually admit to liking it, IMO, except for the original MW. Man, I'm not afraid to tell people what I like, and I loved WaW when it came out (my 10/10 review is still over at GameFAQs) and I love Black Ops. Both games are great. So is COD4, but very few people will rebut you when you say that. Edited February 12, 2011 by peteer02
Gooch Mane
Fable series. Boring games overall. Super Mario Tennis. Ive heard a ton of people say its the best game in the franchise, but I still think its awful. Kingdom Hearts series. Maybe its just because I'm not a big fan of button mashers, or of most jrpgs. Either way, I still hated the game.
Jackpot
Kingdom Hearts. I have no idea why I don't like these games. They're right up my alley yet I can't even sit through the god-awful opening cutscenes (At least; for the two that I tried to play). It's weird -- I'm a huge fan of Disney, a huge fan of Square Enix, and I love RPGs... but I can't stand Kingdom Hearts. Gooch Mane
Also, Left 4 Dead, I HATED that game. Basically it was just mowing down wandering zombies here and there, until the horde came and you just spun in circles while holding down the trigger. Strangelove
Im not digginh just cause 2. the grappling hook and parachute shit is amazing and feels great, but literally everything else about it sucks. the driving blows. the shooting blows. controlling the character blows. the main character blows. The voiceacting blows. the enemy ai blows. the game just does so much wrong. i need to get my money back or credit to buy something else. deanb
Does the blowing stuff up blow? Oh and I'll kinda agree with you on the shooting, it's got the most obvious assisted aiming of any game I've played. But since I was using a 360 pad on the PC version I left it be. As I said, it's a game you play in bursts of a couple hours, dossing about and terrorizing the locals and military.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I bought it used on Glyde, played it for about an hour, then sold it on Glyde. I should have trusted my instincts from playing the demo, but everyone raved about it so much I caved in.
