WTF
Publisher: Ignition Entertainment Ltd(All territories) Developer: Vanillaware Official Site: ENG Genre: Action RPG Previews 1up (Also serves as an interview) Andriasang 1 (Intro) Andriasang 2 (Famitsu Preview) Producer Commentary (July 2011 update) Release Dates: Global Spring 2012 (Launcing in Japan, US and EU) Screenshots: Trailer: Notes: I have no idea what will come with the game. The game will feature 4 player Crossplay between PS3 and PSV. Even if you're a solo player you can have 3 AI controlled allies. You have systems in place similar to Demon's Souls where you see corpses of those who died except this time they can leave a message and if you like them you can res them and have them as an AI controlled player for your party. The game is currently for sale on Amazon.com for $29.99 for both the PS3 and PSV versions. The official website has music that distinctly sounds like the composer for Vagrant Story/Tactics ogre. It is currently one of the highest preordered games on Amazon so get in case it's a misprice because the game is going to be as fun as most Vanillaware titles such as Muramasa, Odin Sphere etc. If you've been following this game you'll find that there's been insane amounts of fan art thanks to the Sorceress and Amazon of course XD. The game actually sounds and looks pretty fun. The playable characters are From L to R (Wizard, Sorceress, Amazon and Elf) Warrior Dwarf Also it might remind people a bit of how Capcom's old D&D games in the 90s were since it's the same designer but he wanted to make this more of a Golden Axe and King of Dragons influenced Action RPG or rather the next step in their evolution. Key people involved: George Kamitani p.s. I know the thread is almost a year early but this game needs one. As does Gravity/Gravity Daze.
Strangelove
Im looking forward to it. I love Vanillawares art and I loved Odin Sphere. Muramasa? Not too much. The pic of the Amazon woman is awful though. She looks fine in the game, but that picture is horrendous. I know the artist who does Vanillawares art doesnt always do perspective right, which i think is one of his trademarks, but the Amazon woman is really fucked up looking. The Amazon is bad but then again she looks like that Boss from Muramasa (I forget the character's name during the female character's playthrough). I think he probably believes that's what an Amazonian would be considering what the boss char was like.
Mal
Vanillaware stuff I get pretty much for just the art... this is no exception. Now if the game is good or not... we'll see!
Faiblesse Des Sens
I'm not sure I dig the design this time around.
SanaEquiesterer
The Amazon is bad but then again she looks like that Boss from Muramasa (I forget the character's name during the female character's playthrough). I think he probably believes that's what an Amazonian would be considering what the boss char was like. That would be Raijin, the god of thunder and storms. She didn't just have thighs like tree trunks, though, she was all-around musclebound. By comparison, the Amazon does seem a little more disproportionate, but that is Kamitani's style and I love it. Speaking of style, the female character designs in previous Vanillaware titles are modest compared to these. Still, I look forward to it. I just hope it is localised better than Muramasa was, so I can understand the story clearly on my first play. The title makes me wonder if this is a sort of successor to Princess Crown. The title makes me wonder if this is a sort of successor to Princess Crown. It's Ignition, localisation is going to suck unless Bettenhausen had some influence in getting new people on board for that team. And yes it is a spiritual successor of sorts. This game has been in planning for 13 years.
