Baconrath
Discuss anything (tips, questions, etc.) about Adobe Photoshop and other photo-editing software, like GIMP. Feel free to post shoops you've done. I did this one today: I took too long trying to get his thumb over that fireball. I'm still a novice at this. P4: Gritty Reboot
**Cracks knuckles** Worked up during a crazy Steam sale, wasted it on a Kotaku comment: Kotaku's November 2010 TAY images: Kotaku Photoshop Contest:
P4: Gritty Reboot
And finally, ones I've worked up for Press X or Die: I'm still learning. Oh and I'm using Paint.net, not Photoshop.

CorgiShinobi
If we're going to post some old Kotaku shops, I'll throw in one. I had to Google search my submission since I've had it deleted for some time.
DocSeuss
Bacon, you pointed me here, so: Trying to make a 256x256 square in GIMP with a transparent notch cut out of the upper right corner that reveals whatever's behind it. The idea is that it's going to overlay a square that changes color based on various factors. It's a status indicator, basically. I have no idea how to accomplish this, and I took an entire semester in "video game textures." Way to go, terrible teacher. :\
P4: Gritty Reboot
I use paint.net, but you just need to make 2 layers, the bottom one empty and the top one black. Then delete the notched area on the top layer and save as a PNG to preserve the transparency.
DocSeuss
Thanks! I'll give paint.net a look-see.
