deanb
So Shameless Gaming Month MKII is soon to be upon us. Trjn has said he has some things up his sleeves n I'm trying to think of a couple (Though I'm having issue with PXOD stuff atm). Just to get folks maybe started out two good sites to set yourself up with are http://www.backloggery.com/ and http://darkadia.com. Both allow you to make public profiles, so folks can keep up with how you're going along. And via HotHeart http://howlongtobeat.com/, which is a neat site to plan your time on which games are worth putting the time in to beat and which are like Disgaea and take longer to beat than there are hours in July. My Darkadia is in my sig if you're wanting to follow along.
Nexus
Contemplating starting this. It depends on if I find a job before then so as I can actually enjoy my Summer...
MasterDex
I might do this. My pile of shame is certainly growing. I like to have a few games around to play at any time but it's starting to get out of control. I'm right at the end of Darksiders but have yet to finish it, just because. I want to get done with Dead Island's campaign too. Then there's the shit on Steam I haven't played much of. It's going to be hard to choose. TheFlyingGerbil
I'd need a shameless gaming year. And all the publishers to go bust simultaneously. And then another couple of years.
Mal
I should wipe out my Steam list...
deanb
http://pressxordie.com/2012/06/30/shameless-gaming-month-2012/ Got an article up, and Trjn is aiming to post his tomorrow(Well..Australian sunday). Got some tips, got any more. My aim for this month is: Valkyrie Chronicles Just Cause 2 Nier Space Marine (though it's OnLive so I dunno if it'll work on this net) Heavenly Sword GTAIV (if I can get it back this month off my brother)
P4: Gritty Reboot
I'm going to make a realistic goal: Bastion on the PC, and Skyward Sword on the Wii. If I can pull those off in July I will be a happy camper.
Eleven
I've been on a PC gaming kick lately, so I guess I'll try this. Time to play those games I got in the Steam sale. I'm planning on completing the following this July: Bastion Trine Darksiders I've had L.A. Noire and Dragon Age 2 on the PS3, but never completed it. Now I got it from Steam/Amazon for cheap. I guess I can put that in the pile too. L.A. Noire Dragon Age 2 Honestly, I couldn't be bothered to turn on my PS3 at the moment. I guess inFamous would have to wait. Or maybe I'll surpirse myself... Nexus
Attempted to pick up Nier from where I left off, but I haven't got a fucking clue what I need to do. The quest log is unhelpful.
Skoshuke
I do have quite a few unfinished games on my plate. The games I've wanted to finish for a while are Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery on iOS, Deus Ex: Human Revolution on PS3, and Half-Life 2: Episode 1 on PC (I know, I know, I'm a monster) so I'll be doing those first. After those I believe it's a case of getting the ones that are closest to completion done soonest, which I'll update with as they come. My steam list also has a bunch of un-started games, mostly from bundles, which I'll just ignore for now. Perhaps I'll get around to them once I've finished the unfinished, but that's unlikely. danielpholt
I should probably include AC:Revelations in this, but i've got absolutely no motivation to so much as look at my 360. PC and iPad it is then. Like Skoshuke, i've had Superbrothers: S&S for months (on the iPad) but i've only got half way through. I'll get that done sometime this week. That should allow me to focus on Metro 2033 on the PC and LA Noire. A game i started on release for the 360. The recent Steam sale has allowed me a cheap way back into that game. So not much, but its pretty much all i've got time for. Also, i suck at games.
Chewblaha
The agenda: The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings. (possibly 100%'ing it) You Don't Know Jack (100%'ing it). Donkey Kong Country Returns. Mass Effect/Mass Effect 3 achievement hunt. Dead Space Impossibile Run. Dead Space 2 Hard Core Run. Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD 100% run. Eh fuck it. Throw in a full complete of Legend of Legaia as well. Not the lvl. 99 part, though. That's ridiculous. Chewblaha
I'm also aiming for a 1300+ kill run in Starfox 64 and a 500 kill run in Ziggurat.
MetalCaveman
My list: Metroid Prime Metroid Prime 3 Lollipop Chainsaw Dark Souls MGS Peace Walker HD MGS 2 HD After that, maybe I'll try to finish F.E.A.R. Space Marine Or some other game on my Steam backlog.
Nipah
As I know I'll never defeat the pile of PS1 games I own (oh man, there are so many!), I might just go and tackle my Steam list. ... though with the upcoming summer sale, it may be an uphill battle. Braid, Cave Story+, Deus Ex: HR, Dungeon Siege III, Gothic 4, Half Life 2 - Episode 1, 2, Lost Coast, Hitman: Blood Money, Jamestown, Lone Survivor, Magicka, Neverwinter Nights 2, Night Sky ... and I'm tired of typing them all. TheMightyEthan
Since I'm currently visiting my wife's grandparents I don't have access to the vast majority of my games. I already knocked out Escape Plan (good) and Mecho Wars (fantastic) on the Vita yesterday, and I'll probably add Gravity Rush and Touch My Katamari to the list by the end of the week. Might also add some DS games, who knows.
deanb
I've been playing Cthulhu Saves the World. It runs on my netbook (of sorts, it's actually higher res than the netbook screen..or lower res but windowed n no sound...) so I can play it whenever. Not a bad game, and being able to call upon fights in the menu is pretty neat as it helps with grinding and means you can get rid of the random encounters making dungeon exploring somewhat fun. P4: Gritty Reboot
CSTW and BODVII are great netbook games.
danielpholt
I just can't get focused on Sword and Sworcery. I want to love it, but i just can't. I'm thinking it might be down to the fact that i'm playing it on an iPad. I guess its the optimal device to play it on, but i get distracted too easy. 50% through, but i've lost the will to go further. Worth a go on PC? Luftwaffles
July will probably have to be my "finish mediocre FPS's" month, so I'll aim low and say I'm going to finish Crysis 2, Syndicate, and Spec Ops: The Line. I'll probably only end up finishing one, seeing as I'm at the beginning of Spec Ops and Syndicate, but ehhhh, something to shoot for. (Pun intended)
Nexus
I can't focus on any of the games I need to finish. Yesterday I loaded up Dragon Age 2 and Portal 2 and turned them off almost immediately.
TheMightyEthan
Well I beat Escape Plan, Gravity Rush and Mecho Wars all on the Vita, but they were new games so I don't feel like they count.
TheMightyEthan
I didn't post in here about it before, but Tiny and Big: Grandpa's Leftovers, which I just beat, was on my list for this month. The full list atm is: Bulletstorm - done Dead Space 2 Far Cry Far Cry 2 Infamous - done Infamous 2 - done Killzone 2 - done Sol Survivor - done Tiny and Big: Granpa's Leftovers - done I'm focusing mostly on shooters because they don't tend to be as long so I can get through more of my backlog. Most of the rest of those games are ones I got for free through PS+ and would like to try but haven't done so yet. Some games that I'd like to put on the list, but am almost positive I won't get to/through due to how long they are: Alpha Protocol Deus Ex: Human Revolution Dragon Age 2 Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Tropico 4 The Witcher The Witcher 2 Setting my sights high, thus ensuring my failure. danielpholt
I've been tasked with looking after my mums house for two days. The girlfriend hasn't allowed me to bring my PC though. So i've hitched up with my 360. I was planning to crack on with Creed, but I think I'll start Darksiders instead. @themightyethan - aren't some of those shooters quite big? And I'd be stunned if you got through the Witcher and The Witcher 2.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, that's why I put them in the second list, the "this would be ideal, but I know it's not realistic in the slightest" list.
