TheMightyEthan
Though it's not very clear, I think that may just be a temporary ban, as it says "continuing to violate our Terms of Service may result in... permanent account closure." To me that implies it's not permanent yet. Not that that makes it a whole lot better.

TheMightyEthan
Just because you can't remove your payment info I don't think it's a good assumption that they'll keep charging the monthly fee. At least if you're actually permabanned.
Mr. GOH!
Just because you can't remove your payment info I don't think it's a good assumption that they'll keep charging the monthly fee. At least if you're actually permabanned. I don't think you can assume either way. I would not be surprised if it kept charging banned players. I would also not be surprised if it doesn't. madbassman39
They have dance zones? No dancing anywhere else? Is this the MMO version of footloose? Ha, thats silly.

Johnny
That is absolutely ridiculous. Patch your game. Fix the problem. If you need to, disable the dance command, but do not invent such ridiculous rules such as only dancing in specific areas.
TheMightyEthan
While it's completely ridiculous, I have a hard time feeling sorry for the person if it's true that "multiple warnings were given". If you're warned multiple times not to do something, even if it's stupid, you have to expect that there will be some kind of repercussions. Maritan
Ha-ha! Tried this today, waiting for a ban. I wonder if I'll be able to solo an instance with this. BTW, if anyone playing, I'm Braffin(Empire) on Chuundar(PVP EU).
Vargras
Here's a video of said invincibility dancing, if you haven't seen it yet.

Faiblesse Des Sens
I still don't understand why people hate this game. You're being sarcastic after posting that first link, right? Even if people aren't actually getting banned, it's ridiculous that dancing makes you not get hurt.
TheMightyEthan
That post has been updated to say that Bioware is saying the dancing bans are fake.

Kovach_
Well, EA got their rep shaken up a bit by those Battlefield bans, and there were a few silly ones on SW:TOR so people are generally bandwagoning that EA will ban you for breathing. TheMightyEthan
I was skeptical, but then I saw sites reporting it as if it were true. That'll teach me to believe games journalists...
Faiblesse Des Sens
I pointed out in my post that even if the dance bans are fake... YOU CAN STILL FUCKING DANCE TO BE INVINCIBLE DURING BATTLE
deanb
Well, EA got their rep shaken up a bit by those Battlefield bans, and there were a few silly ones on SW:TOR so people are generally bandwagoning that EA will ban you for breathing. Pretty much this. EA, and its subsidiaries, have gotten a rather cruddy history of fucked up bans. Not helped by the lack of any clear policy. And that when they issue bans it tends to lock you out of paid for games. If you're afraid of people unbalancing the economy then 1) fix the glitch n 2)maybe have a sit down with CCP. There's not step 3 of banning people because your game has bugs in it.
Luftwaffles
Fucking Bioware, always having to include dancing in their games...
Thursday Next
Fucking Bioware, always having to include dancing in their games... I'm pretty sure it's EA's fault.

deanb
I've not once called you ignorant, nor did I reference you at all in my reply to Kovach.
TheMightyEthan
@FDS: Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous that dancing makes you invincible, but not nearly as ridiculous as the idea of them banning you for using that to survive battle. Games sometimes have pretty ridiculous bugs, that's to be expected, but ridiculous CS reactions to it are not.
