Shibbs Posted August 2, 2011 Report Share Posted August 2, 2011 So for some odd reason once again i'm in the mood to watch just Horror movies, been watching mediocre ones, a few good ones, but mainly, I just want to watch some I haven't seen. With horror movies I don't mind watching a mediocre one because it can still actually be enjoyable, So I thought I'd span out and ask what other's Guilty Pleasure Horror movies are. I'll start, Darkness Falls (2003) I have a strange pedigree with this film; The movie The Ring scared the crap out of me when I saw it in theaters and only went back a few times to watch, last time I remember was when I was 18. Anyways, it made me hesitant to see horror movies, after all at that point I was 13 and 4' 10" and pretty sheltered. My friends enjoyed seeing horror movies in theaters though and I did enjoy good flicks, so I went along with them to a movie called Darkness Falls. Luckily to me it wasn't as scary as the ring and I enjoyed it a bit. A year passes and I'm at home hanging out with a few friends and were bored, so i pop in a movie, we decide on darkness falls. They then decide to change it, so I pop in a movie I hadn't seen at the time, Creepshow ((1982) I have seen it now though a few years back, enjoyed it and recommend it to someone who hasn't seen it, kind of campy horror.). We got bored and decided just to go out and jump on the trampoline a bit, so I turn off the dvd player, surround sound and TV. I go inside after about 15 minutes to get a drink of water, and something strange happens.No one is home, I checked all the rooms, and no one of us had gone inside since we went to the trampoline. When I walked in the house, The TV was on, The surround sound was on. And the strangest part, The dvd player was on, but it switched dvds back to darkness falls. To this day, I will not play that copy of Darkness Falls, I've watched it again on netflix and another copy once at a friends house. But it's that experience with it that keeps me coming back to it to watch from time to time, just, not that copy. Now I'm sure you guys won't have a robust story as to why something is your guilty pleasure but that's fine, let's just talk about sub par horror flicks.
