Yantelope
The GOTY is available at Target on clearance for 15 bucks. They had a few copies. Maybe I should pick one up. I had bought it from gamestop a few months back for 20, but returned it after a few hours. Not because it was crap, but because I needed the money. The game seemed legit, but there really wasnt much to it. Reminded me of grinding in an rpg. Thats the vibe I got from the overall game. Just FPS grindathon. No story, no characters, no nothing. I did like the graphics and the overall art style. if it was 3rd person, Id be all over dat shit. But I just played it for about 3 hours and maybe the game has a lot more to offer. It's a bit of a grindathon but that doesn't stop people from loving dungeon crawlers like Diablo. It's a bit like that. Also, if it's such a grindathon then what is Fallout 3? An explorathon? I just found myself lacking direction in Fallout 3.

I just found myself lacking direction in Fallout 3. It is grindy. Most games are. Fallout 3 disguises it well with dialogue, branching missions, and a huge scope. Its easier to swallow that way. I NEED that, otherwise I feel no joy in doing the same repetitive task over and over. Especially when Im not a big FPS fan. I played Fallout 3 in third person just to deal with that. Hot Heart
Exactly, why if it was just a prison did the other girl promise to keep the key safe until next time? At least I think she did. Also, it's amazing how easily these world destroying super creatures that were only sealed away by an entire civilization are killed by one guy with a gun. Because it was a terrible story. She's a scientist so would probably want to get a look at that sort of thing or hold onto it 'for the good of science'. Even if there is 'valuable' alien technology it's only stuff for a prison. Why would you even have a prison or vault that can only open every 200 years? The guardian angel thing that speaks to you doesn't reveal there's a monster because that's what they want you to stop; if it were just about treasure you'd think they'd warn you. It's just a a dumb plot and going inside the vault would not change anything.
Yantelope
Because it was a terrible story. Yeah, they even admitted they didn't have the ending written for it when they started. That's the sort of thing that pisses me off. Story should always be written out before you begin, FFXIII I'm looking at you.
Yantelope
http://www.destructoid.com/yes-anthony-burch-is-writing-borderlands-2-207926.phtml I don't know this guy but he can't write anything worse than the first game's ending. Hot Heart
As long as it's more than just a collection of and swear words like HAWP usually is...
CorgiShinobi
Yes Hot Heart, I read that bit... Just saying there's room for further exploration of The Vault. You never know if there could be more, not in the way of treasure, but for the sake of "scientific exploration." Also, the Guardian Angel was projected from a Hyperion satellite, a company that may have further goals.
Yantelope
The whole angel being a satellite was like . It wasn't that surprising just more confusing and also a bit of a letdown. Edited August 4, 2011 by Yantelope
Luftwaffles
Borderlands is the Steam weekend deal this week it looks like. $7.50 for the GOTY edition, which is pretty much stupid cheap.
