Chewblaha
Updated with a story that I remembered tonight. I have too many that few stand out.
TheRevanchist
I went to my local GS for the first time in a while, and the store manager was there. He was not only helpful, but he had some good conversations with all of the customers in the store about some of the games. The person working the register was dressed appropriately (didn't look like she just rolled out of bed and didn't bother brushing her hair/teeth). And the customers in the store seemed to enjoy their time there. Plus, I got a good discount on some console games I've been meaning to play while getting Epic Mickey: Power of Two for the Wii for my son on the cheap. The rarity of this GS moment is astounding. Mister Jack
I must be lucky or something because all four (FOUR!) GameStops in my area seem to be staffed by helpful and competent people.
deanb
With me getting my 2DS from GAME (UK equivalent of Gamestop) I had my first time there for some time. Pre-ordering was a wee bit different, and it being my first midnight launch which also coincided with Wii U Smash and Black Friday meant it was a bit of a clusterfuck (especially as they had folks queueing, but also pulling folks out to play Smash). Went in other day to pick up a carry case for 2DS, was invited to the local Streetpass club by the guy at the counter (already a member through friends though), which I guess was nice. Still like uber terrible stores for finding anything but the newest. Was thinking while in the queue it could do with being much much bigger, especially as it's a city store (and they used to have two stores, though likely due to the Gamestation buyout). Mr. GOH!
I went into my local Gamestop to see if they sold PC games. They don't, so I left.

Saturnine Tenshi
Back when I worked for Gamestop I had to send a request to distribution to set us up with adequate games and marketing for an in-store PC section. Trouble is many stores just don't have the stock, signs or room. It went over fairly well and some customers expressed appreciation of the new section, but when the store manager changed (I was only a keyholder), the new one decided to do away with it.
