deanb
what is that, and what happened to it? What is it? It's a disc of charred something. What was it? a frozen chicken fillet. What happened to it? Well what was meant to happen to it was I'd defrost it. What seems to have happened to it is my microwave temporarily enabled it's teleporter setting and swapped my chicken fillet for some acrid gloop from Traal. I'd at least understand if it was charred lump but still chicken fillet shape, but as best I can tell it actually melted the chicken. As if it was plastic left on a hob. My understanding of food stuffs doesn't include the ability to comprehend why chicken would melt.
Faiblesse Des Sens
Defrost in water next time! That will also make sure you don't accidentally cook it.

Battra92
Two hours of butchering a whole chicken, brining and battering it and then frying it. It was worth it!
Mercurial
Shiitake mushrooms with steak cubes rice and beans. Too lazy to photograph. I also drowned it in tobasco sauce.
Faiblesse Des Sens
>tabasco Fucking gross. Worst hot sauce available. Anyways, I had a very basic meal of tortillas, beans (not canned, let them sit in water for 8 hours and cooked for 1.5 hours), trader joes fake ground beef, spinach, and Melinda's Habanero Hot Sauce. Battra92
>tabasco Fucking gross. Worst hot sauce available. I'm pretty much a Frank's Red Hot kind of guy (which reminds me, the next time I'm in Buffalo I need to go to the Anchor Bar for some wings) Anyway, I've been meaning to try Sriracha (Rooster Sauce.) Cooks Illustrated said it was even good to use in Buffalo wings.
Faiblesse Des Sens
You've never tried Sriracha? It must not be as ubiqitous over there. Over here, people write comics about it: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/sriracha IDK about using it on wings though. It has this sort of garlicy thing going and I don't think garlic is really a wing flavor.
TheRevanchist
Cook's Illustrated is great for white bread American tastes. I dislike them for the international flavors, though. Sriracha is pretty sweet tasting, which makes it so popular, much like good jalapenos. For wings, I'd stick to Frank's. That stuff is great on burgers, too. Mal
Cock sauce is good for most things but I never heard it for wings. And eating healthy with a grapefruit/pomello. I've been having one for lunch for two weeks now.
Battra92
Cook's Illustrated is great for white bread American tastes. Why do people associate American food with bland and crappy? I just don't get it. :-/
TheRevanchist
I don't think everyone thinks it is bland and crappy. Just the midwestern Iowa-type food, where the Wells Fargo wagon carries curtains, dishes, or a double boiler to the people of River City. deanb
Just come from 'spoons. Had a chicken chargrill burger with a great side of chips and some salsa-like tomato sauce thing. Fucking cracking meal. best in a while and after today was I think well deserved. The chips were coated in something, not sure what but made them a bit fluffy on the outside. Mal
Spam fried rice since I am at the point in the quarter where I am reduced to depleting my stores due to low funds and FIFO. Non-clumpy fried rice is pretty damn good and mixing sweet and regular soy sauce makes the rice slightly sweet and salty without one flavor dominating the other. Edit 05/27: Leftover fried rice is still really good. Nuking it didn't make it soggy or super dry. I am surprised. Faiblesse Des Sens
Steel cut oats w/ local berries, cinnamon, raw sugar, and vanilla hemp milk. My usual breakfast. TheFlyingGerbil
why do you take a multivitamin when your breakfast (and I think I've read your diet in general) sounds so healthy? I've never herd of yrba mate what does it taste similar to?
