Faiblesse Des Sens
I'm vegan so the multivitamin is just for caution. Better safe than sorry. Anyways, Yerba Mate tastes sort of like green tea (it's not as bitter) and you're not supposed to get it as hot as other teas. It's level of "caffeine" is debated. http://guayaki.com/faq.html DOES YERBA MATE CONTAIN CAFFEINE? There are currently two schools of thought regarding the stimulant in yerba mate. Recent scientific research suggests that the stimulant in yerba mate is caffeine; however, caffeine-sensitive individuals do not experience the harsh side effects (jitters, stomach upset, headaches, addiction) that are common complaints with coffee, black tea, or Asian green tea. It is important to note that yerba mate provides a wealth of nutrition in the form of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants, all of which may contribute to the "good" energy most people associate with yerba mate. The term "mateine" has been used to refer to the stimulant in yerba mate. Some researchers feel that the stimulating compound in yerba mate does differ from caffeine. We have elected to use the phrase "Naturally Caffeinated" to share the most accurate scientific information currently available. Guayakí is still dedicated to furthering the research in this area, and we will continue to keep you well informed about any discoveries we make. Also the vanilla hemp milk is for flavor (vanilla) and a bit of protein and other goodness.

Faiblesse Des Sens
Not eating steak must be horrible. I didn't like steak even when I ate meat. A lump of bloody meat just never seemed appetizing. I prefer things that are more flavorful which is why I've always loved ethnic foods. Strangelove
I havent eaten at Chipotle since the calorie-counting disease infected me. Ugh. I was a much happier and fatter man back then.
Mal
Two...? Did they get smaller or something? Then again, back in high school the Chipotle across the street made theirs a bit bigger than most other stores. Ah.. memories. Every other Friday was Chipotle Day with me having an extra long lunch period. Eat it nice and slowly compared to clomping it down in under five minutes on most other days. TheMightyEthan
My friends in college used to refer to the "Two Burrito Challenge." I never even attempted it, but three of them succeeded. *Edit* - Though at least one of the ones who succeeded has also been known to eat an entire large Pizza Hut pizza alone in a single sitting. Gyaruson
Funny, because I think I would be happier if I was less fat.
Mal
I swear I eat like the older generations of my family... all thanks to my grandma. So, you are poor and Chinese... what do you eat? This with white rice. And it is damn tasty but very salty. I swear it has 1000% of recommend salt intake. Still very good though. However, for my health sake, I cooked up some spinach as well since at Farmer's, its $2 for three bunches that I can split into six meals. Sadly, I can't be Popeye.
deanb
Isn't spinach high in salt too?
TheRevanchist
Funny thing, here. A recent study showed that taking potassium supplements with higher salt content will negate the effects on health. So, next time, chase that with a banana. It is cheap and good for you in a few ways!
Mal
Isn't spinach high in salt too? Depends on how you cook them. I also don't recall spinach actually storing salt so I doubt it would be that. If they are high in anything, it would be iron.

Faiblesse Des Sens
Spinach has tons of protein. Definitely not salt. I just had a sandwich that consisted of hummus, roasted red peppers, mixed greens, cucumbers, and avocado on potato bread. Delicious. TheRevanchist
I grilled some hot links and burgers. Had some pasta salad and carrot salad as sides. Cooler stocked with drinks. I've got enough left over to invite more friends tomorrow for another BBQ! Only, Harris Ranch New York steaks are 3.99 per lb at a certain store. So, I have larger meat to conquer on the grill tomorrow afternoon.
Mal
Some terrible mistake of a congee. I used Italian parsley... the Asian stuff doesn't have this... taste. I should of just done green onions. At least I have something awesome... homemade ginger ale. I loaded up on the ginger for this one and its kicking my ass. So good. Edit: Spam makes it... taste really damn good. Edited July 3, 2012 by MaliciousH
