Mister Jack
So this pizza isn't half bad, but why the shit don't they give you marinara sauce when you pick it up. They're dunkable!
Yarfunkle
Oh god yes.. making chicken curry tonight. I've been craving some curry. I know this isn't tradidional curry in the sense, but it's pretty close and it's damn good: Recipe: 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) unsalted butter 2 medium onions, finely chopped (2 cups) 2 large garlic cloves, finely chopped 1 tablespoon finely chopped peeled fresh ginger 3 tablespoons curry powder 2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1/2 teaspoon cayenne 1 (3 1/2- to 4-pound) chicken, cut into 10 serving pieces 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro 3/4 cup cashews (1/4 pound) 3/4 cup plain whole-milk yogurt Accompaniment: cooked basmati or jasmine rice Garnish: chopped fresh cilantro Heat butter in a 5- to 6-quart wide heavy pot over moderately low heat until foam subsides, then cook onions, garlic, and ginger, stirring, until softened, about 5 minutes. Add curry powder, salt, cumin, and cayenne and cook, stirring, 2 minutes. Add chicken and cook, stirring to coat, 3 minutes. Add tomatoes, including juice, and cilantro and bring to a simmer, then cover and simmer gently, stirring occasionally, until chicken is cooked through, about 40 minutes. (If making ahead, see cooks' note, below.) Just before serving: Pulse cashews in a food processor or electric coffee/spice grinder until very finely ground, then add to curry along with yogurt and simmer gently, uncovered, stirring, until sauce is thickened, about 5 minutes. ixa
I love chicken curry. there's this Indian food place by me called the Curry Kebob that's soooo good. I haven't been there in awhile though.
Pheermee
Curry powder is crap. Go to your local Asian food mart and get some curry paste. Now THAT is good curry
Yarfunkle
Thai vs. Indian curry argument GO: Thai uses paste, Indians use masala (spice mixtures)
Mudkip3DS
Pssh. The only diet I ever need is STAY AWAY FROM CHEETOS OH GOD STAY AWAY FROM HOT CHEETOS! Other than that, though, I've always just taken a bike ride afterwards. The wind in my face just makes me… feel better. I've been floating around 195 pounds for a while now, so I guess it must work
Pheermee
Thai vs. Indian curry argument GO: Thai uses paste, Indians use masala (spice mixtures) Yeah they are different but typically the powders you find are really really weak and not really flavorful. StrifeROKs
As an indian I can say though our curry clearly wins. Eat some butterchicken and then tell me I'm wrong. you cant
King Jimmeh
I was lazy tonight and just had baked beans on toast with grated cheese. Lazy food, but tasty.
Minirova
Jack, you know that those cheese bite pizzas were out quite a few years ago and they just brought them back right? Just curious. I totally just had some Dominos pizza. It's supposed to ice storm like fuckin crazy here tonight and didn't want to go out in the cold. Showmeyomoves!
I'm eating Sour Jelly Beans. They're not so great. Good thing I have a bag of normal Jelly Beans as well. The Ton Katsu Donburi I just ate was pretty damn delicious. Man, my local Japanese sushi restaurant is awesome. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5165/5264146431_9d66dc233e_o.jpg Ton Katsu Donburi Every time someone mentions tonkatsu, I think of this super freaky commercial they used to show in Japan for a super obscure GBA game. I'm trying to find it, but I can't remember the title! I'll keep looking. -UPDATE- Fuck yeah! I love the internet so goddamn much.
Mudkip3DS
Aww I actually thought it would be a MOTHER/EarthBound commercial. Mother 3 was actually where I got my love for tonkatsu from. Trivia Secret Pig and Shigesato Itoi FTW!
diedan
I totally just made a turkey and provolone panini! Then I ate a pickle. Claussen pickles are great, but I really wish I had some Nathan's pickles. Best. Pickles. Ever.

diedan
I'd be upset if you weren't upset with me about my lack of pickle if I hadn't eaten a pickle... They're so necessary!

Minirova
If you think that's good, cook some noodles and mix in some velveeta and milk. It's SO much better than that instant shit.

They don't sell Velveeta around here though, and I don't trust Kraft's American Cheese enough to try that without an endorsement first.
