WTF
So who else is watching this show? I'll be honest and say it's not bad. I actually had no expectations when initially watching the show but having seen 8 episodes I can say that it's actually not a bad show. Of course the whole lore's been rewritten here and there. New origins for Thundera, Mum-Ra, the ages of the main character and the origins of the various animals. But all in all it's actually not a terrible show. I'm surprised that it's more violent than the original one in some aspects. I'm not 8 or 9 like I was when I first watched it so I won't be watching it religiously or anything but I'll definitely try watching the first season to see how it goes. First 8 episodes are okay with nods to the original series. It's also trying to tie all their universes (the thundercats, silverhawks and there was one more) into one show. But it seems to have been done in a way that those who watched the original show can enjoy this unless they remove their old bias hats off. Which reminds me there's a whole fourth wall breaking ending for Brave the Bold that touches on it in a decent way.
CorgiShinobi
It hard for me to ever keep a regular television "viewing" schedule, so I've only seen the first (and second) episode. I didn't know whether they were making a reboot, or a sequel. In some ways it felt like both in that history "repeats itself." Though I guess if I watched more episodes I would see it more another way. It's definitely not bad, but I use to watch the original on Toonami. It's not like I have bias, but it's weird to see the lore shaped into something else.
MasterDex
I watched the first episode and quite liked it. I like that American cartoons are more willing to move past early childhood fare to teenage/young adult tales these days. I'm going to wait until the first season is finished before I watch any more of it.
WTF
I'm more or less up to date with Thundercats thanks to my mediafriends. It's actually pretty good and just like the previous show this too is done in Japan but the story written in the US. However Lion-O is definitely different. It seems like the old LionO personality traits are split into both Tigra and Lion-O. Another good thing is that I remember why I couldn't bear the old show was cause of snarf, making him less annoying has improved it a whole lot. Mister Jack
This is one of those shows I keep meaning to watch but I'm just not in the habit of keeping up with tv schedules anymore.
