STiger
I, for one, am up for this. Just need to acquire MNC PC when it releases.
TheMightyEthan
Apparently the PC Beta starts day after tomorrow for pre-orderers. I'm really considering getting in on that, even though I already have it on 360.

I'm really considering getting in on that, even though I already have it on 360. Do it! I'm going to get it for sure, and I'd like to play with some Kotakuites folks. Maybe we can entice some others as well.
StrifeROKs
I guess I won't buy the console version...
Sindo
How graphically intense is the game? Only getting it if my laptop can run it.

deanb
Yeah that's pretty low stats for a current game. The 7800 is on par with the PS3 GPU.
Pheermee
PS3 has a low GPU?!
deanb
PS3 has a low GPU?! I assume sarcasm?
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I figured it was sarcasm cause of the "?!"
Pheermee
PS3 has a low GPU?! I assume sarcasm? Well you were saying that the sys requirements were low, and that the GPU was on par with PS3. Now I thought the PS3 had a very high end GPU. So I guess I am confused. TheMightyEthan
It had a kind-of-high-end (but still not top of the line) GPU 4 years ago when it came out.
deanb
The PS3 and 360 GPU are high end as far as consoles go. But as Ethan pointed out, they were high end as far as computers go...4 years ago. Modern GPU's on PC's output to resolutions far in excess of 1080p and across multiple screens or/and in 3D. Whereas the 7800 equivalent RSX and Xenon struggle to do 720p (and I still think Sony are out of their fucking minds to push 3D this gen on top of that) Anyway we're getting a bit off topic here. Lets just leave it at: MNC is about on par with TF2 in requirements. A fair few of you should be able to run it fine.
Pheermee
Thanks for the clarification. I totally forgot the age of the system. And I never follow the model numbers of GPUs. I just look at their stats.

TheMightyEthan
Rule of thumb: If your computer can run Team Fortress 2 decently (as in, medium-high graphics, little or no lag) then you can probably run MNC as well. If not then you probably can't.
TheForgetfulBrain
I just pre-ordered the game today. Let's get some beta on soon! Add Meh: Forgetful Brain on Steam.
TheMightyEthan
It can't find you. Can you add a link to your Steam profile page so we can friend you from there?
TheForgetfulBrain
Hmm, that's strange. Worked recently. But yeah, here it is: http://steamcommunity.com/id/the_forgetful_brain/
TheMightyEthan
Hey, I just saw this is gonna support dedicated servers. What does it cost to run a server? If we get enough people playing it might be worth it.
mintycrys
If you wanna get better, though, you'll play on public servers and get your ass handed to you. Otherwise you're just playing with the same old folks and never learning anything new. /fightan gaem philosophee
TheForgetfulBrain
After my failure hosting a Black Ops server, I vote down. Then again, if we get enough folks playing and I like the game enough, I might end up donatin'. Just'sayin'not'a'promisin'.
deanb
So anyone up for a game later if it's a possibility?
TheForgetfulBrain
So anyone up for a game later if it's a possibility? I dunno what time it'll be for you Dean, but I'm up for a game once I get off work in a few hours. I'm sure there'll be lots of folks in chat that are buying it too.
