BF3 Beta

VoiP is knackered in PS3 at the moment. Should be fine come release. :)

Restricting communication is not necessarily a step backwards. Broadband communication just leads to a load of chatter and trash talking. Restricting comms to squads means that communication is (usually) more focussed on how to achieve goals.

I agree with that sentiment but I still feel it gimps teamwork. A good solution, I think, would be to allow inner-squad comms but also inter-squad comms through the squad leader. Ah vell, at least we're getting the commorose back.

Commo rose is coming back?!?!?! YES!

I laughed when you guys started joking about Camaros. As someone who owns and drives a Camaro I'm shocked I never looked at Commo Rose as Camaros.

EDIT: Apparently this is old news and I never got the memo. They confirmed it back in August. Too bad it wasn't in the beta.

Incidentally, this is why Commo rose = Camaros.

I'm sure it's mentioned elsewhere in this forum, perhaps in this very thread, but just so you all know I haven't completely taken leave of my senses. :)

I had a great squad last night. The squad leader gave us proper objectives, the rest of the squad stuck together, we were a squad of a medic, support, and two engineers. Every time we laid down fire, the medic (me) would drop a medpack, and the support would drop the ammo pack. The engineers were using rockets to blow parts of cover away, and used their smg's to give fire. We did all this without any communication, and THAT is why I love the BF series. Moments where you get a good squad who just know what to do, makes the game better than any other modern shooter out there

Gotta love those Battlefield moments! I share the same love for the same reason. No other FPS multiplayer has made me feel so alive, awesome, clever and helpful as Battlefield has at its best.
