So it was announced n shown off last night (along with the Galaxy Nexus) and it looking pretty sweet.

Bunch of screens here:

Phone

Tablet

It's a pretty major overhaul, also combines the tablet and phone versions of Android together, also GPU rendering for the first time, something Android has somewhat lacked.

Power Control also seems to be standard now. (That's the strip some ROMs have along the top bar in your notification shade. Let's you turn on wi-fi, gps, bluetooth etc) Contact list is also getting redone and voice control getting a major revamp too. Camera too, with some filters n such for good measure. Apps are also able to be disabled, so while you can't remove some apps without rooting you an disable them. I guess it's a decent work around though I don't have any experience with carrier apps. Oh and unrooted screenshots too.

The only major issue seems to be that this will require certain hardware(especially with the GPU stuff), so not many current phones will be able to add ICS, though maybe some of the custom ROMs may work around that. Here's hoping.

Power Control doesn't look standard from the screenshots or from what I've read. It looks like it's just volume control.

Also, as with every version of Android, I assume every phone going forward, not backward, will use it. Especially a version of Android like this that is tied more into the hardware.
